Comfortable game. Dominated easily. St George didn't challenge much, the few times they did was a result of us giving them the chance. Shabow was definitely quality when he came one

Why keep them both Shabow & McDonald on the bench? I'm guessing that these guys came on against tired defences & ripped up?

Both had good minutes last week, are training with the AL squad & probs being protected in case Popa needs to call on them.

Fofanah & Cimenti both not selected / rested this week, so expect them to figure against Macarthur Rams next week.

U15 8-1

U16 5-0

U18 2-0

U16's ended 11 - 0. 5 nil was the half time scoreline.

Aggregate scoreline for the 4 academy teams v's Rams was  39 - 1.

Aggregate scoreline for the 3 NPL2 teams v's St George was 11 - 0.

Not a bad days work when you record 7 victories, score a total of 50 goals & concede 1.

Just thinking out loud.

It's not beyond the realms of possibility that Popa could take either or both Shabwow & Scott over to Wellington next weekend, as a reward for their recent efforts / getting them accustomed to what they can expect next season, should they be contracted to the AL squad. I'm not suggesting they'll necessarily be part of the match day squad, however, the experience may be useful for their development.

Neither would be needed to play any meaningful minutes against Macarthur Rams next Saturday, who shouldn't pose any real danger to our NPL2 squad, particularly given that they have games against Marconi today & an FFACup clash with Rockdale Suns midweek.
