The only good thing Dave Allen did at Wednesday was tell Bates to **** off. We've had a very lean 13 years and financially mismanaged for longer, still being felt now as we have no commercial income. But at least we haven't been asset stripped. lloydy136 1
Wanderer74 Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 3 teams on top even. If promotion were to occur now I would be pissed so I guess every goal counts.
lloydy136 Posted November 23, 2013 Author Posted November 23, 2013 leeds into the playoff places! I am as shocked as anyone tbh was just happy to be rid of bates and warnock and figured this would be a rebuilding year but maybe just maybe mcdermott might have some of his reading magic dust leftover for a big run. or maybe not.
lloydy136 Posted November 23, 2013 Author Posted November 23, 2013 2 very close races shaping up though - 3 into 2 for automatic and then about another 10 possibles for the 3 remaining playoff spots. championship as tight and wildly unpredictable as usual! only quicker way to lose your money would be to try tipping the a-league!
DamnedUnited Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I'm kinda looking at a Derby Leeds play-off somewhere down this path with a similar result

lloydy136 Posted November 24, 2013 Author Posted November 24, 2013 shameful dive for the penalty! also had to laugh at the commentator not being sure if it should be yellow or red for a blatant king hit by 'bite your legs' hunter. how times have changed! had seen footage of that fight before but not the full highlights - great find mate! to be honest I would be ecstatic if leeds even made the playoffs but would be good to avoid derby if we did as you blokes have beaten us about 20 times in a row it seems! Wanderer74 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 WTF happened last night. Burnley and QPR losing to mid-low table teams. Leiscter just slip in and take the lead. But WTF? We had the lead. We also had 17 shots and only one was on target. I am in shock MadKaw 1
MadKaw Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Leicester top of the table with a 3-0 against Millwall.. lets hope they don't screw it up like last year.. :-)
wswclaret Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Burnley and QPR were both away from home in what is a very difficult league to go away and win. In fact I think that was burnleys 3rd away game in a row.
IronHaggis Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Finally! Dave Jones has been sacked. Worst league start in our entire history. Not going to be easy for someone to turn it around and keep us up.

IronHaggis Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 In two days Flitcroft, Jones and Coyle have been sacked.
MartinTyler Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Holloway firmly in the frame at Wigan. Who are the Owls looking at?
IronHaggis Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Favourite is Pearce. With Keegan, Appleton and Di Canio up there. Fans favourites are Holloway and Megson.
lloydy136 Posted December 2, 2013 Author Posted December 2, 2013 i know megson contributed a bit as a player to the wendies but as a manager he gets his teams playing some of the most mind numbingly dull football imaginable. who do you want IH? MartinTyler 1
IronHaggis Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 i know megson contributed a bit as a player to the wendies but as a manager he gets his teams playing some of the most mind numbingly dull football imaginable. who do you want IH? Megson is a Wednesdayite, his dad is a Wednesday legend. When he took over from Irvine we were free fall in League 1. Got us into a promotion position and gets sacked straight after we beat the blunts (He had poor results before and apparently knew he was being sacked but stayed to manage the derby). He brought passion, which is what the fans want. Personally I would like Ian Holloway. Good manager plus he is a nutter so it will be interesting. But I doubt we will get him.
Wanderer74 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 (edited) Options are open for Wednesday, I am honestly surprised it didn't happen earlier. That belting of Reading may have helped but it has just been draws and losses. Sounds like some good names, I don't want to see you guys drop. I am feeling a bit like I want Doncaster to drop. I don't know why... Edited December 2, 2013 by Wanderer74
DamnedUnited Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Go figure we have scored more goals than any Championship club and McClaren quietly moves us forward.
IronHaggis Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Sounds like some good names, I don't want to see you guys drop. I am feeling a bit like I want Doncaster to drop. I don't know why... Just shows the sad state of football in South Yorkshire when Donny are the highest placed team. To answer your question it's because they have that one direction guy in their books.

IronHaggis Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 (edited) Bad luck MadKaw, teams always win after a manager has been sacked. Edited December 4, 2013 by IronHaggis

IronHaggis Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 As long as the winning streak stops there !! We are hitting some form, equalling our best winning streak for the season. May need to be very wary.
lloydy136 Posted December 4, 2013 Author Posted December 4, 2013 words to frighten and disgust you Iron Haggis...... Neil Warnock on Wednesday shortlist
DamnedUnited Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 ......and the lads from Pride Park keep laying down those tracks...
