MathyouWSW Posted Tuesday at 02:06 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:06 PM Sigh...Round 12 results: - Sydney FC defeat Sutherland Sharks - Spirit snatches a last minute goal to share points with St. George FC in 2-2 draw - Wanderers Aiden Simmons gifts St. George City with an 1-0 lost - Marconi Stallions are 12 games unbeaten after defeating APIA Leichhardt 2-0 - Blacktown City second half comeback sees them win 3-2 over Sydney United - Wollongong also do a second half comeback and win 2-1 over the Rangers - Rockdale defeat the Mariners 3-1 - Manly's second half performance sees them win 5-2 over Sydney Olympic Now...the ladder will be looking different (Apologies if it's not readable) - Marconi remain 1st on 30 points with a 6 point gap - Rockdale stay in 2nd with 24 points - Blacktown are now 3rd with also 24 points - NWS Spirit slip to 4th on 22 points - APIA Leichhardt stays at 5th on 20 points - Manly United round out the top 6. They are on 15 points. ICYMI. Sydney Olympic and Western Sydney Wanderers were deducted 3 points due to 'compliance issues' Football NSW was supposed to make a post about it? (I haven't seen anything yet). Due to this, Sydney Olympic now drop to 12th place (Originally were 6th before round 12) on 13 points and Western Sydney Wanderers drop to 16th (originally was 15th on 8 points) with 5 points. The Wanderers will play against Blacktown City on Sunday 6th May at Wanderers Football Park. Pretty sure it was originally scheduled for 7pm kick-off. However, it's now changed to 3pm.
mack Posted yesterday at 02:43 AM Author Posted yesterday at 02:43 AM Newcastle Jets also got the same punishment. They sent out a statement about it saying it was because the club failed to lodge audited accounts to Football NSW for the 2023 season in the required timeframe. Some people on facebook have claimed it was for flares and pitch invasions from the crazy WSW vs Olympic 3-2 game but we already got punished for that when it happened and it was only a 6 point deduction for 2024. 3 point deduction for WSW & Olympic NPL Men & U20 Premiership teams. 3 point deduction for Jets NPL League One Men & U20 Premiership teams. 15 point deduction for WSW, Olympic & Jets in the Boys Club Championship (this is the U13 to U18 competition). 15 point deduction for Jets & Olympic in the Women's NPL Club Championship (but not the actual NPL Women competition or U23 ladder for some reason) 3 point deduction for Jets & Olympic in each of the Girls youth leagues (U14, U15, U16, U18) I'm guessing WSW avoided a punishment in the female section because we didn't have any women's NPL team until this season. mack Posted 17 hours ago Author Posted 17 hours ago https://footballnsw.com.au/2025/04/30/clubs-sanctioned-for-compliance-breaches-of-the-2025-application-process/ Football NSW has confirmed sanctions have been issued to Newcastle Jets, Sydney Olympic FC and Western Sydney Wanderers (WSW) for compliance breaches of the 2025 application process. While the majority of Clubs completed their requirements within the specified time frame, regrettably some Clubs did not. Potential penalties for non compliance were communicated to all Clubs in advance which ranged from fines to the loss of Premiership Points and/or Club Championship points. Football NSW has imposed the following sanctions for non compliance on three clubs: Western Sydney Wanderers FC: 3 Premiership Points across each of the Men’s Age Grades 15 Boys’ Youth League Club Championship Points Sydney Olympic FC: 15 Women’s Club Championship Points 3 Premiership Points across each of the Girls’ Youth age grades 3 Premiership Points across each of the Men’s age grades 15 Boys’ Youth Club Championship Points Newcastle Jets FC 15 Women’s Club Championship Points 3 Premiership Points across each of the Girls’ Youth age grades 3 Premiership Points across each of the Men’s age grades 15 Boys’ Youth Club Championship Points Premiership and Championship Points deductions have been reflected in the relevant tables in the Match Centre on the Football NSW website. The 2025 application process supports clubs to improve their governance and operations. By meeting the requirements of the process, it helps protect clubs, their players and other stakeholders. The process allows Football NSW to continue to strengthen the administration of clubs competing in our competitions and identify areas where Football NSW can provide further support. MathyouWSW 1
