Foxsports has tweeted that Ono has been ruled out due to hamstring injury.

Was expecting him to be rotated out anyway. Trifiro or La Rocca will cover just fine

Lads lets meet up at Beer Delux at Federation square before the game. Like the Victory game.

:smurfpoint:

And like the Victory game... they won't let us in afterwards. Beer Delux has pretty much lost our business for all Melbourne trips AFAIC

Transport bar sounds the best.. What time??

My flight doesn't get there till the afternoon - thinking maybe 3pm or something? Any other takers?

Smart move resting Ono, injured or not.

In general I thought they looked tired last week.

The week off when the finals start 'should' be just what the doctor ordered, as long as it doesn't halt momentum too badly.

Currently sitting at Young & Jackson on Swanston. I think me and my mate are the only Wanderers here.

Small aside - a couple good articles in Telegraph today (one aimed at non football fans and te battle of the codes). In short it says Wanderers rise in support has been a surprise And our supporters have a younger demographic ten Rugby league. Also a sporting marketing company estimates we have 67,000 fans - twice as much a GWS in AFL.

As for this match, u think we were all worried when we saw Shinji limping around after the match last week. I think if popa ha shown one thing it is he can manage players.

I think we missed Dino throwing himself about last week. When he came on things picked up a bit.

67k?

Seems low. I went to get a haircut yesterday, place has a Wanderers flag, while I was waiting one of the barbers was talking to a guy in spanish about the Wanderers, and the other one, we were talking about how he his nephews went to the games and how when he took them to Marconi it was packed out. 67k? Please. There's probably that many in Fairfield alone.

Yeah I wonder of they were comparing apples with apples. 67,000 may be the number of people who have attended games throught the season (ie individuals going to games not total attendance). Though even that still seems low when u think about it.

700,000 for ESFC, probably using the same statisticians as the AFL been counters who come up with juniours numbers.
