Davo Posted January 12 Mariners player elbows Harding in the face while looking directly at her. Referee decides it isn’t even worthy of a free kick.
Paul01 Posted January 12 Sarah Jones is woman in the middle, fails to card Evans for a tackle on Ferris

Davo Posted January 12 Just gave us a free kick. We tried to take it quickly but kicked it straight into the fouled player on the ground. Decided to restart play with a drop ball. mack 1
Davo Posted January 12 After putting the elbow on Harding it was pretty satisfying watching Galic get clattered in the buildup to that goal.

But with 3 of their worst headed for court, I'd say the mariners are definitely giving them a run for their money this year
mack Posted January 12 I suppose if we're counting actual illegal things not on-field roughness Unlimited 1
Davo Posted January 12 The ref was a dud but we were pretty diabolical. 36% possession, 64% pass accuracy, our goal came from our only shot on target (CCM had 10), and 60 passes in the opposition half to their 177. 102megan, SBW and mack 3
102megan Posted January 12 We were f*cking woeful. The second half we were slightly better, it’s a miracle the score ended up at only 1-3. mack 1
SBW Posted January 12 So this experiment of signing state league 1 players on the cheap hasn't worked out and not producing the results the club thinks they can get 102megan 1
mack Posted January 12 If the results are "run the team as cheaply as possible" then it probably is working for the club. 102megan 1

Her and Harada would’ve had the chemistry and combinations to get at least a few goals - even at the A-Leagues level. However, I completely agree. It’s interesting that both Sydney FC and WSW Women’s have so many League One Women’s players - and are both sitting at the bottom of the table. Funny about that hey. 7 hours ago, mack said: If the results are "run the team as cheaply as possible" then it probably is working for the club. Getting rid of the previous head coach - and using the same Head Coach for the A-League Women’s *and* WSW Women’s Academy/NPL Women’s side, would be a part of those cost-saving measures… EmMac and StringerBellend 2

I mean, he didn’t even know the A-League Women’s didn’t have VAR - I’m quite skeptical of him… But one source says he’s back at the club as Head of Women’s Football. Another source says that as he’s involved with the Matildas, he’s unable to be back at the club as Head of Women’s Football.
