zola Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 (edited) Big win by Millwall during the week. Hopefully we can follow that up with a thrashing of Charlton at the Valley on Saturday. And at least it isn't far for the kit man to head back to the den when he forgets our strip...... Millwall have been very disappointing thus far. Was expecting them to challenge for play-off spot. superneil Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 as were we mate. long time to gel but hopefully bad start is behind us.
theguyyouwishyouwere Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 scotty mac scores his first goal for milwall.
Wanderer74 Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 QPR go 3 clear at the top and make it 595 minutes straight not conceding in the Championship. Once we get a striker that is not injured other than Charlie Austin hopefully we can score more goals Pisses me off that Loic Remy scored 2 last night
superneil Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 scotty mac scores his first goal for milwall. Wicked deflection.. But they all count

Once we get a striker that is not injured other than Charlie Austin hopefully we can score more goals Pisses me off that Loic Remy scored 2 last night haha wanderer74 you have been listening to old wheeler dealer 'arry too much mate worrying about lack of squad options for qpr. qpr by far the strongest squad in the champ since i have been paying close attention when leeds were relegated back in '04. you guys are going to walk this league.
Wanderer74 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Nigel Clough is the another manager to get the sack this season. Seemed perfect that he could manage just like his father at Derby. Mid table but I think the 3 losses in 8 days took them over the line. He had a good run I guess. 3 wins in a row for Millwall. 3 losses in a row for Leeds. One team coming up and one going down and this was probably the match to define the next month or two for both of these teams I think. But it only takes a win for Leeds to come back and right now they are in the middle with about two wins or losses from the top 6 or the relegation. Would have hurt to have two goals against them though. Leicester City, Forest and Watford look alright with Watford scoring pretty well. Especially Reading and Watford winning three in a row and Blackpool not winning the last three, the top 6 could possibly break away from the rest of the pack. And last but definently not least the hoops have finally gotten more than 1 goal and won 2-0 with Joey Barton getting a goal and the other goal being scored with a Charlie Austin penalty. Another game goes with us unbeaten and not conceding making it 685 minutes without conceding and having a goal against of only 2; the far best in the comp. COME ON YOU R's lloydy136 1
lloydy136 Posted September 29, 2013 Author Posted September 29, 2013 leeds were awful last night lucky it was only 2. no lowry for millwall either. only bright spot was first league start for youngster alex mowatt who at 18 already looks the best player in the side and a name to keep an eye on. on the clough thing - teams have no patience with managers in the championship - because the league is so even and you get teams like palace coming from nowhere last year and reading the year before the club chairman all think they are only a 'masterstroke' hire away from premier league millions. makes for some crazy decisions and total lack of stability. compare it with Swansea's progress over the last few years - director of football with clear and consistent direction for the club & its playing style, managerial appointments which fit the existing style so no need for big player churn when a new man comes in and fan ownership and participation of the supporters trust on the board. lesson there for not just other football league clubs but for us as well. wanderer74 - your rangers look impossible to stop and I don't think an arsenal style 'invincibles' undefeated season is out of the question.
superneil Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Great win by the Lions. Lomas has gone from villain to hero in the space of a couple of weeks....fickle old bunch. I cant see Lowry getting his LB spot back, as Malone is killing it at the moment.
Wanderer74 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 IMO Palace can't do anything without POPA
MartinTyler Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 QPR will have to be careful around the January transfer window as struggling Premier league Clubs will be looking for players to boost their chances ao survival and will look at the Clubs at the top of the Championship. Personally I hope they are decimated and Forest get promoted with a late surge !!
Wanderer74 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I would love to see Forest go up. My dad is always telling me about the UCL in the 80s and how they were the powerhouse team. There are a few teams that are in the Championship that I would love to see go up.
theguyyouwishyouwere Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 IMO Palace can't do anything without POPA besides promotion to the EPL of course......... Carns 1

Great times !!

zola Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Can't believe Forest sold Guedioura. Great player wasted at CP
MartinTyler Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Can't believe Forest sold Guedioura. Great player wasted at CP Yeah....not sure what was going on there. I was a big fan of his.
zola Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 Forest failed with bid for Bakary Sako. Apparently pissing around with the fee.
MartinTyler Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Wolves were asking too much.....for a League 1 player !!
zola Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Mate, Wolves are a premier league club, to suggest otherwise is lunacy. . Sako is rubbish in half of the time anyway. I would have taken the money and ran.

Steve92 Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 The championship in my eyes is the best league in the world it's so even got a complete range of clubs the little ones like Yeovil Doncaster Bournemouth and then the sleeping giants like Leeds forest borough Leicester QPR and Bolton then the middle order clubs that can have a good run around Christmas and Shake it up. LOVE IT!!!! Leicester for promotion this season I hope!!!! With the amount of the money the club has now got with the Thai owners they have to go up Wigan won't go up they will do the Birmingham and play to many games Europa league, championship, league cup & f.a cup is simply to much I think Last season caused way to much heart break for me I don't think i can handle that again. I think QPR will run away with it but to much quality to much money Top 6: QPR Leicester forest Watford reading burnley Relegated: charlton millwall Barnsley Roughie: Bournemouth

IronHaggis Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Can't see Millwall being top half myself, can't see them being relegated either. With Yeovil and Barnsley there should only be one relegation spot up for grabs. The way Wednesday are playing it looks like some more League 1 football for me.
Goredeaux Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Haha yeah the owls aren't fairing to well at the moment, but atleast you've got two games coming up that you guys could take 3 for. Damain Martinez could be the make or break though...
