Hope the girls smash them

They ***** let a 3-1 lead down last week against an Adelaide team that's only won like 2 W-League games in their existence!

A hattrick from Adelaide in the final 10 minutes to lose 4-3.... :/

hey! at least they scored 3, count 'em 3, goals! in one game no less! what the men's team would give for 3 goals! :xnod:

Sounds like a small contingent of RBB will be in attendance. Great to see.

Just got back from the game. Got in for free through my sister being friends with one of the Wanderers girls. Was a lot more enjoyable to watch than I thought it would be, especially the 2nd half, some really nice stuff in patches going forward and with a bit more composure probably should have been 1-1.

I heard the popeye chant a couple of times towards the end. Good to see.

I definitely think we need to pick a home match and rock up en masse.

Got in free because we flashed our members cards. I asked the security bloke at the gate if we had to buy tickets when we were members (as we flashed our cards). He said, "No, members are allowed in free" , but he did not look at the colour of the cards - or our Wanderers gear!! I thought we only got in free for our home games in the W-League and the NYL. But I'll take it for free! Perhaps I am wrong, perhaps we get into any game the Wanderers play for free.

What really upset me at the game was that after half time when the 2 teams came back out onto the pitch, the announcer said, "Put your hands together for the wonderful Sydney FC team as they return for the second half of the game", and completely ignored/did not welcome back our team. I do think this is very bad sportsmanship. He should have said, "Put your hands together for both teams as they return to the park for the second half of the game." If he wanted to name both teams - okay. But to welcome back the home team and ignore the visitors is very bad form.

a full replay of the game is available on ABC iview at the above link. it's watchable but picture quality is pretty poor tbh, the game clock is barely readable for instance

Great game today. The chanting towards the end of the game from the RBB could be heard right up the other end of the ground and by the girls on the pitch! There was NO organised Sydney support!

Next Saturday (3rd Nov) we've got a W-League & NYL Double-Header at Campbelltown. I reckon that'd be a great game to turn up en-masse.

Meanwhile, have some photos!

This one is my favourite - Servet Uzunlar & Me. She was stoked that there were Wanderers Fans, said the girls were sorry they didn't get the win, and is looking forward to both the next game (our first at their "Home Ground") and the return Derby game.

something that gives me the you-know-whats is free kicks being referred to as penalties, it's done in this post match article of this game and one of the abc radio "commentators" on tonights men's Wanderers v roar was doing it also before i turned it off...it's just not that hard to know the difference.

Could someone explain why an experience w-league and young Matilda player is sitting on the bench who can score goals ?
