    • Crowds at cricket, and Ashes cricket especially don't give a **** whether someone is hit/hurt/in agony/etc. They are the enemy and have to be destroyed. Aussies WANTED Lillee and Thompson....and later Brett Lee, Mitch Johnson,Tate or Starc to really smash the opposition....especially the English.........not their stumps...the batter themselves and you're naive if you see it otherwise. The Eng crowds would be thinking the same thing. Hurt the chunts...... (Btron3000....."I disagree totally with the second part, as would most of the players you mention. And I'm not being ******* naive. I love seeing batsmen ducking for cover (danger is an inherent part of the game) but the ultimate goal is to use a hit to the batsman (or the idea of a hit) to put doubt in their mind so you get them out. ) But we're not talking about the players themselves and what they think we're talking about the crowd and crowd behaviour and I can tell you for certain that people in the crowd want to see batsmen hit. I don't know where you sit at the cricket but from where I do people were calling out for it to happen......and not just in Sydney.  (Btron3000 Jesus ******* Christ I never said that people don't want to see players hit.  I like it when players get hit. It's part of the game. But so is coming back and facing the music again. ) Sooooooo....you disagree and agree.......lol
