Tranquilo Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 All to do with la liga, copa del rey etc anyone happen to watch this mornings el classico copa del rey semi final, feedback comments.
Tranquilo Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 yer sux that la liga doesn't get any coverage in australia i hate scrolling through trying to watch live streams.
Davo Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 There was a thing in the paper about the match today. Apparently Granada managed to win 1-0 without a shot on goal thanks to Ronaldo's own goal.
Tranquilo Posted February 4, 2013 Author Posted February 4, 2013 as long as ronaldo scores he is happy!! real madrid will never catch barca all they have this year is ucl
Tranquilo Posted February 10, 2013 Author Posted February 10, 2013 ronaldo hat trick against sevilla and then getting rested after 60 plus minutes. Got to make sure hes well rested for this weeks UCL match against man utd
AEK Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Seriosuly, what is the Barcelona and their players, staff, ex staff, officials and anyone that has or had anything to do with Barcelona always bringing Madrid up or hating on Madrid when the topic does not even involve Madrid? why are they so obsessed with Madrid, could they really be undercover REAL MADRID lovers?
Tranquilo Posted February 12, 2013 Author Posted February 12, 2013 Seriosuly, what is the Barcelona and their players, staff, ex staff, officials and anyone that has or had anything to do with Barcelona always bringing Madrid up or hating on Madrid when the topic does not even involve Madrid? why are they so obsessed with Madrid, could they really be undercover REAL MADRID lovers? long long rivalry history politics too much to discuss about its pure hatred of each other. It the separists the Catolonians vs the nationalists it was the era of Franco the spanish dictator that wanted real madrid to be the pride of Spain and the states of spain eg cataluna where banned from speaking their own dialect and even using their language in public displays. Hence the name of their stadium nou camp which means new camp as this was the only appropriate name allowed to be used to name their ground. Catalonia wants nothing to do with Spain so the rivalry unfortunately is more based on tense history and has evolved into the football. Worse for me im a real madrid fan whose family is based in Barcelona!!
Tranquilo Posted February 25, 2013 Author Posted February 25, 2013 copa del rey semi final on sbs tmorrow morning 6.45 am. Barca have been leaking out the back a bit and the pressure of champs league and domestic plus cup trophies seems to have hurt them a bit. AC Milan have shown that Barca are destructible and against a team of stars Real Madrid have the potential to put a few away against them if they become sloppy. Barca are a strong force at home will be a big game as la liga is basically barca's and Real do not want to lose another potential tie to the Catalans
Tranquilo Posted February 27, 2013 Author Posted February 27, 2013 Barca loses at home semi copa del rey. 3-0 down against real madrid there was no chance of a comeback. Looks like the long season is taking its toll on Barca or missing their coach, but Real were lethal and Ronaldo has stepped up again to the occasion!
SBW Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 or maybe Messi is just overrated How many times has OWNED your team in teh CL?
elchapo Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Messi couldnt beat the team that finished 6th in the EPL last season
Shogun Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Hopefully Fox Sports or ESPN get the rights to La Liga.. It would be very interesting to watch teams other than Barca and Real for once.
Tranquilo Posted February 27, 2013 Author Posted February 27, 2013 La Liga has sold its soul to a wealthy middle eastern channel think its al jazerra and they have basically sold their soul tv viewing schedule in terms to cash in the big asian market especially to suit China where millions watch el classico. Thats why La Liga is fuming that many matches are played at certain times now to suit the asian viewers such as midday kickoffs or even sunday late matches. Lots of matches like this mornings is played at 11pm and end at 1am. The only winners are the big 2 who get I believe around 50% of tv revenue from the tv rights while the rest of the clubs get a share of the leftovers.
SBW Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Messi couldnt beat the team that finished 6th in the EPL last season And they became UCL champs...
Tranquilo Posted March 3, 2013 Author Posted March 3, 2013 another clasico this morning and despite mourinho resting his key players madrid still came up winners in a 2-1 match. 3 losses in a row for Barca, there confidence will be very low at the moment.
WSWanderer Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Hala Madrid!! Definitely boosted our confidence for Wednesday's clash against United
Davo Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Valdes is dumb as a sack of rocks. Getting sent off and suspended after the final whistle isn't exactly bright.
Tranquilo Posted May 12, 2013 Author Posted May 12, 2013 all over again, Barca another league title ,Real Madrid there on victims too many games not finishing them off.
AEK Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I don't think today's game mattered much anyways, if Barca beat atletico madrid tomorrow, they would have wrapped it up, I think mourinho tried to keep fresh players for cops del Rey final, we already have lost varane to injury and possibly even ozil.....
Tranquilo Posted May 12, 2013 Author Posted May 12, 2013 yer looks like modric to step up, would of been interesting if sahin stayed at real madrid to give that added depth
WSWanderer Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 yer looks like modric to step up, would of been interesting if sahin stayed at real madrid to give that added depth We bought Sahin for no reason, we hardly used him.
AEK Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I just need Barca to slip up in 1 of their remaining 3 games so they don't equal our records points for a season... We have the record for 100 points from last season...
Tranquilo Posted May 13, 2013 Author Posted May 13, 2013 copa del rey is the focus now, i think sbs will show it live again this year
WSWanderer Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 If Higuain and Ronaldo both leave at the end of this season, i wonder which forwards we'll bring in. Rooney maybe?
Tranquilo Posted May 13, 2013 Author Posted May 13, 2013 rooney, falcao?? dont know how long falcao has on his contract but he is hot property in europe
WSWanderer Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 rooney, falcao?? dont know how long falcao has on his contract but he is hot property in europe Didn't really think about Falcao. We probably will try and get him if his contract is ending soon. Ronaldo will be a huge loss to us if he leaves. I hope we release Di Maria this year, he's way too inconsistent. We also need to make better use of our youth system.
