Rayo had 27% possession, 3 shots, 1 on target (one of the off target shots hit the post in the 99th minute), and an xG of 0.27. Link to comment
marron
Yep. I tried to work out where all the added time came from but all I could find was Barca fans bitching about the ref lol That's the double for Rayo over Barca this season, too, I think the last one was when they sacked koemans. Sithslayer1991
Barca in serious finance problems. Honestly not sure how they have been able to mortgage the club future without going into administration. Still yet to register Raphina and Lewandoski, Needing De Jong to leave yet still owing millions in wages and reportedly 18 clubs owed money for previous transfers. The accountants there doing all kinds of backflips and barrel rolls to get Barca running when they probably should have sold players. About 25% of their tv rights have been sold, sponsorship with Spotify. 24.5% of their stake sold on Barca studios which handles streaming services and crypto. In consideration of selling up to 49.9% of their merchandising rights and reducing wages for some players yet again on the cards (Busquets recently came out saying he may looks at reduce wages). Insane how they are getting around the so call UEFA financial fair play rules. Long term future doesn't look good. https://www.espn.com/soccer/barcelona-espbarcelona/story/4697467/barcelona-financesexplained-can-the-club-really-sign-players-while-chasing-more-stars-this-summer https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-08-08/barcelona-football-club-revamps-finances-to-buy-players-in-the-transfer-market Link to comment

Davo
The Athletic are reporting that the current board are pretty much blackmailing Frenkie de Jong over his contract situation. They're claiming that the previous board acted illegally when they signed his latest contract amendment, and that they need to revert to the previous version which would see him get paid significantly less. Sithslayer1991
Barca still can't even register any of their Summer transfers.... Bernado better be prepared to get a pay cut in a few months IF he is allowed to play in La Liga Link to comment

Sithslayer1991
Athletico Madrid and Griezman trolling Barcelona with his playing time. He has to play more than 45 minutes in 14 games then Athletico would need to pay an additional 35 million Euros. His game time this season has been: V Getafe: 28 minutes V Villareal: 28 minutes V Valencia: 26 minutes Peak Shithousery. https://www.sportbible.com/football/barcelona-worried-about-antoine-griezmann-atletico-madrid-transfer-20220823 Tranquilo 1 Link to comment

Sithslayer1991
BAHAHAHAHHAHAHAA Barca out of champions league, the season a bust they will not break even, need to sell players in January https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/63404670 Tranquilo and GunnerWanderer 1 1 Link to comment
Davo
Athletico out too. Had a VAR penalty after the full time whistle to win it and stay in the comp, but it was saved. Also the players don't know the rules as they all followed the rebound in and tried to score, but as soon as the penalty was over it's full time. Sevilla are also out as they can at best finish level with Dortmund, but would go out on head to head results. First time that only one Spanish team has qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League since the format changed to a 32 team tournament in 2003-04. Sithslayer1991 1 Link to comment

mack
That pen 1:55 is a very unusual event. There's a shirt pull... but they're both outside the field of play. It's correct call (as a foul outside field you 'restart' at the nearest point, and if that point is within the pen area it's a penalty). Just not seen that in a very long time. Link to comment
