Staj has spoken favourably of Simmons, mentioning he is good enough but there are too many others ahead of him. Maybe he will stay and get his chances next season.

Last season we got a some release announcements at the end of May, a month after our last game. There were a few more in early June then Pierias & Russell in mid-June & Marcelo on the first of July & Hendrix a few weeks later.

Could be worth trying  next season as a winger which I think was his original position.

In other news Sydney are releasing Max Burgess and Jaiden Kucharski, wonder if either of any interest to Staj?

Burgess supposedly was looked at by WSW in the mid-season window with Badolato going to SFC. It didn't happen and Badolato went to Victory instead. Maybe with no swap deal required and being sacked by the smurfs WSW might be interested still.

I gotta say, first time since Popa that I feel like we have a coach that could actually take some of these players with stalled careers and actually make something of them.

Max Burgess’s last 2 clubs western United and Sydney FC have not ended well , he played 3 games in the season just gone.

not sure if he is team player.
