  4. Lampard must be in the mix: likes blue jerseys and he's a Tory.
  5. Both Ange and Nick never had to worry about this. I was wondering if the lift had only 10 floors, anyway bloody modern technology.
  6. It is such a small thing they are asking of us. (It's sad now that the Mundines' et al are resorting to violent language for their No case). Just a Voice. It will have no power to compel or reject. All power will remain in the hands of whichever federal government we elect. They can reject any advice. It is sad that such a powerless proposition that is basically just symbolism to end the lie of terra nullius in our constitution has been met with an enormous dishonest scare campaign.
  7. Victorians Endure Final Day Living in Brutal Dictatorship People have gathered in bars, cafes and restaurants across the city to be oppressed for one final time. NewsCorp in Melbourne have just announced that they are laying off ten scriptwriters and a sub-editor as they are no longer required due to Dan's decision to resign.

  9. Yes. The pool points system also seems to be diabolical, as long as a Team loses by only 7 points it will get a bonus point. FFS a bonus point for losing, sorta like the AFL if you miss we'll give you a point
  10. The Law Council of Australia has again backed the Indigenous voice to parliament, calling it “legally safe” and urging voters to get fully informed about the proposal for the referendum. The Law Council president, Luke Murphy, said in a statement today: The legal profession is uniquely qualified to assist the Australian community to understand this issue. We have a responsibility, as a profession, to help people fully understand what is being proposed. The Law Council put out a statement this morning which “strongly encourages all Australians to read and consider the wording of the proposal closely” and seek information from a trusted source, such as Law Council fact sheets and webinars. The statement noted that the power of the voice would only be to make representations: “just as bodies such as the Law Council do on a regular basis.” The Law Council has long considered a constitutionally enshrined Voice as critical to addressing the social and political disempowerment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The Law Council has considered the proposed constitutional amendment, the referendum question, and the referendum process more generally over the past year or so. The Law Council’s view is that the constitutional amendment as proposed is constitutionally orthodox, just, and legally sound.
