  1. Roar v Adelaide Macca predicted 3-4 in the pre game. Currently 3-4 subject to a last second VAR check for a penalty. Nope, FT 3-4. Well done Macca.
  2. Marinos 5-4 on penalties. Ulsan's 5th saved.
  3. Ulsan score but offside again. 4+ minutes to go
  4. In the ACL, Kewell's Marino's is at home tp Ulsan in the 2nd leg, with Faghani as referee. Starting down 0-1 they get to 3-1 after 30 minutes. Ulsan score after 35 minutes. Marino's have a player sent off after 39 minutes. Ulsan score a penalty near half time. Both sides have a goal disallowed before full-time. Now into the 2nd half of extra time and still 3-3 aggregate.
  5. That's sorta been the story of their season apart from the first few matches. More (as) often than not they looked likely to lose but have won "convincingly" instead. Phoenix, in their own way, have done the same. The most extreme example is winning 1-0 without a shot on target. So, rather than getting away with it, their tactics/strategy has worked. You know as well as I do, Football has many facets including creating chances, taking chances or alternatively nullifying chances or saving them. Which team wins is not just which team looked most likely but which team made the most (or worst) of the chances or denying them. Surviving is not just luck. A goalkeeper saving numerous times is not luck it's the keeper being better than his opponents efforts. As they say, it's a team game.
  6. I think I'll get you to calculate my work related car use kilometres!
  7. The Mariners win again after being the less dominant team early on to win convincingly. A common theme this season.
  8. Harsh. That should go down as a goal to Doka, on target and deflected.
  9. If Kuol had a bit more quality Mariners would be 2 up.
  10. There must be but I don't know who or have any contact details. Dad was a double orphan by the time he was 7 and had an unhappy upbringing with other relatives. Mum was from Clydebank in Glasgow (aye, a mixed marriage!) I could make contact there. I've had an urge for a pilgrimage of sorts for quite a while now but its not that straightforward.
  11. Sounds great. I'm jealous. I've only been back once in 68 years and that was 48 years ago!
