Neverbloom Posted March 11, 2013 Author Posted March 11, 2013 Had a good chat to Mark Webber after the Press Conference and also in the Red Bull entourage tent yesterday at Top Gear festival. He is a really good bloke... seems like a great bloke, not too media friendly though so excited for the weekend i miss formula one and i am so excited though sunday will be painful it takes forever for anything to happen thanks to when the race actually starts it feels like the longest day of the year to me

Neverbloom Posted March 15, 2013 Author Posted March 15, 2013 *explodes* coverage has started on one hd
Neverbloom Posted March 15, 2013 Author Posted March 15, 2013 not looking promising so far jean eric vergne looks like he wants to be a rally driver, STR looking like they will be one of the top back markers this year only practise though
Nnnnnathan12 Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 so annoying the qualifying is on at the same time of the wanderers tomorow not a big fan of JER, i remember at the young drivers test in 2011 he said that in the red bull he could do better than mark webber, even though he had never raced in a GP before..im hoping that ricciardio does well this season, and if red bull decide to keep webber on for 2014 then toro rosso keep ricciardio to eventually replace webber, unlike at the end of 2011 when toro rosso cut jamie algersuarii and sebastian buemi to keepthe young drivers coming through red bull.

Nnnnnathan12 Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 first GP of the season is always a difficult for the teams especially with the limited pre season testing and everyonetrying to work out the tyres, red bull will be great as always, mclaren and ferrari will be in the mix, but im expectinga huge jump from mercedes and lotus
Neverbloom Posted March 16, 2013 Author Posted March 16, 2013 useless stuff by the FIA the last time quali was postponed was during a monsoon a f*cking monsoon, what we had at melbourne was a bit of f*cking rain i dont swear often but that was bullshit, grow a pair and get on the circuit
Nnnnnathan12 Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 what i didnt get is that they were using brooms to sweep up the circuit and a leaf blower on pit lane, surely they must have a better solution like a sweeper truck to dry up the racing line then some marshalls with brooms

Nnnnnathan12 Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 glad the the rain stayed away for the race, i still cant get it how webber always has poor starts and that he cant seem to improve on it but the podium today, raikkonen, alonso and vettel will be the three way race for the championship this year, maybe hamilton can cause a bit of noise but i cant see the mercedes being consistent enough
Neverbloom Posted March 17, 2013 Author Posted March 17, 2013 (edited) i cant believe how poor red bull were today, great though i hope they struggle this season i like webber but if they are dominant he will never beat finger boy and i want vettel to for once not have the greatest car, all drivers should be tested i hope this is vettel's year where his talent as a racer is tested both mcclaren and mercedes are going to be interesting to follow this year Merc seem to unreliable and mcclaren look like ferrari looked at the start of last season and look how much they improved Edited March 17, 2013 by TheGoatOfDoom
Messinese Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Finalmente! Ferrari finally has a promising car to start off the season (even though it was only the first race of the season). Massa even looked quick and out qualified Alonso lol. Hopefully the car maintains this speed and gives a Seb a run for his money.

Neverbloom Posted March 24, 2013 Author Posted March 24, 2013 vettel showed his class today, more than usual
Nnnnnathan12 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 complete f***ing w***ker, how many times has webber followed team orders for vettels benefit, i did feel a bit sorry for rosberg, its not his fault that hamiltons engineers screwed up their fuel strategy, and i reckon that he couldve gone on to challenge the red bulls because when webber was passed he was told to ease off and save the engine
SBW Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Horner has now demanded showdown talks with Vettel after refusing to believe the driver’s claim that he misunderstood the instructions. He said: “The instruction was given to both cars to hold their position. At that point Sebastian has chosen to ignore that. “It wasn’t right what he did, he accepts that. He said if he could wind the clock back he wouldn’t do it again. “He felt that he hadn’t heard the call and it was unclear to him what the instruction was, but he’s chosen to hear what he wants to hear. “He put his interests beyond what the team’s position was. It’s important we learn from it. “We’ll take about this behind closed doors — it is not the end of the matter. He and I will be having future discussions. “It’ll take Mark time to calm down but what is done is done. There was no manipulation, no conspiracy, so if he’s thinking about his future its sheer emotion talking.†I think Webber is into his last year of his contract with Red Bull I doubt he would stay on after the **** he has to go through with Vettel, he was about to quit the Red Bull team 2 or 3 years ago because Red Bull wanted Vettel to win the Championship instead of Webber.
Nnnnnathan12 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 he only signs one year contracts anyway, as long as red bull want him there he will stay. hes not going to get a drive with a competitive car anywhere else except for ferrari, but ferrari are team orders and he would never get a chance to win with alonso at ferrari unless alonso was out of the race. mclaren and mercedes wont take him because of his age, maybe lotus might be interested if kimi or grosjean wanted to leave, but they would have to have a more consistent car for webber to go there.
spectacular291 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Its tough I think for both Vettel and Webber yesterday. Nico Rosberg was having the same issue at Mercedes yesterday with Hamilton in front of him. At the end of the day - all a driver wants to do is win and like Ayrton Senna said 'if you are no longer looking for a gap that exists, then you are not a racing driver' - that being said - he said that after he purposefully crashed Alain Prost to win the championship in Suzuka.
Nnnnnathan12 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 i think that rosberg was very hard done by, hamilton completely screwed up his fuel strategy, and rosberg had a shot at the red bulls if he was allowed to pass him

Got to love Senna haha, he also stated "coming 2nd just means you are the first of the losers" In saying all that Vettel is classless. Rosberg faced the same option and did the right thing. In the end his team showed his class when asked about it. Glad Webber didn’t hold back on the podium Mclaren haven’t started the year well L But Kimi is again proving IMO the fastest formula 1 racer of all time i think that rosberg was very hard done by, hamilton completely screwed up his fuel strategy, and rosberg had a shot at the red bulls if he was allowed to pass him I must admit, in recent times Hamilton has been a bit of a turn off for me. But he showed his class on the podium regarding the Rosberg finish ps llol @ Hamilton pulling into the Mclaren pit crew hahahaha d!ckhead
Nnnnnathan12 Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 haha sounds a lot like talladega nights too 'if you aint first, youre last' christan horner said that red bull aim for a 1-2 finish every race, 10 laps to go they had the 1-2 cemented and webber was in front, team orders should stand. in the case of mercedes, i think that rosberg had the ability to go ahead and chase down the red bulls even if he doesnt chase them down, mercedes still get their 3-4 finish

Rosberg wasn’t allowed to pass cause Hamilton = No. 1 in that team. Lewis knew it and felt like sh!t cause Nico and him go back a long way

Davo Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Vettel's a tool but he knows that he has the team wrapped around his finger and they can't do anything to discipline him without hurting themselves. Webber said it right on the podium when he said that Seb did wrong but he'll get away with it like he always does. As for Mercedes, I find it hard to believe that they fuelled both cars differently so in reality Rosberg did a better job of saving fuel earlier in the race. He got himself into a strong position for the end of the race and couldn't use it because he was behind his team mate who hadn't bothered with all that earlier in the race. It's heading toward a situation where drivers will go flat out burning through tyres and fuel to position themselves in front of their team mate after the final pit stop so they can cruise to the finish in formation.

Schumacher did the same at suzuka in 1997 to jacques villeneuve, only it didnt pay off, he took himself out & handed jacques the drivers title
Nnnnnathan12 Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 (edited) they may have fuelled them differently, maybe hamilton prefered a lighter set up or liked how to car behaved with less fuel.not really, it was just a situation in malaysia were red bull were 1-2 and mercedes were 3-4.alonso wouldve been up there and if lotus werent poor, if kimi and alonso wouldve been in the mixthen the red bulls wouldve been forced into different strategy and be racing harder Edited March 26, 2013 by Nnnnnathan12
ATP Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 I agree with Goats comments about rain lol In the past 10yrs especially if its a wet race my intrest jumps tenfold...
Benched Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 I can tell you from very good authority, Vettel is just as much a prat off the track. Told you so......
