Never heard of the great Ronnie Radford and what was possibly one of the greatest FA Cup goals and results in the history of the competition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hereford probably gave one of the biggest upsets in FA cup history when they were non league in the 1970's and knocked out top level Newcastle United via that Ronnie Radford super goal. They used to get a good few thousand on the gate also. A great little club and a crying shame they have gone under. Edited December 20, 2014 by WSWBoro Nnnnnathan12, lloydy136 and MartinTyler 3

Hey give me a break, that game was 21 years before I was born, which is also the same amount of years that I have been on this earth lol Popa should take that video, and show the players what the concept of Shoot ***** really means. That was an absolute cracker! mack and Smoggy 2
Nnnnnathan12 Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Also, I wonder how many 5 years bans were issued for invading the pitch haha
nisman94wfc Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 As much as on the surface it looks really bad for Hereford United, according to the fans this is the best solution to the current problem (possibly to get rid of the troublemakers). Obviously in an ideal world you would want a club to survive and prosper, but it seems as if this is for the better. And I pitch-invaded two years ago along with at least 500 people and got nothing so... Nnnnnathan12 1
Nnnnnathan12 Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 So are the club going to continue but they'll be controlled by the banks?

That was an absolute cracker! No excuse, it was well before I was born also So are the club going to continue but they'll be controlled by the banks? Haven't read up but I suspect they will be forming a new club, an AFC Hereford type thing and will probably have to start at the bottom of the football pyramid system. Same thing happened with AFC Wimbledon, Scarborough, Halifax Town and Darlington, plus a good few others. Edited December 20, 2014 by WSWBoro Nnnnnathan12 1
lloydy136 Posted December 21, 2014 Author Posted December 21, 2014 ipswich too good for boro. I still can't believe leeds went for colin wanker when mick mccarthy was interested in the job a couple of years ago. creditable 1-1 draw last night for leeds (although slice of luck to keep it that way) Smoggy 1

I've read that the owner/owners were right bastards and that the current entity being wound up may be a blessing in disguise. The council still want football played at Edgar St and there is every possibility of a new club being formed. I have fond memories of their cup run in the early 70s in the days of the 3 day week and games having to be played during daylight hours because clubs were not allowed to use their floodlights !!

Having a hard run of fixtures at the moment mind, playing all the sides near the top. Ipswich is a hard place to go at the moment, they have won 9 on the bounce now I think. If we can keep around the top two come January I will be happy enough. Just got to get that consistency going, 3 points at home and a point on the road gets you in the prem.

pseudonym Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 The SkyBet Transfer Fund was a random draw competition. A fan (who had a SkyBet account and was making regular bets) was randomly selected. His prize was that his favourite club (Nottingham Forest) was awarded $250,000 pounds to use in the transfer window. http://www.football-league.co.uk/news/article/2014/win-250000-thanks-to-the-sky-bet-transfer-fund-2145910.aspx

DamnedUnited Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Ipswich Town away. This will more than a test be for us. Let's Go Derby let's go.
DamnedUnited Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Fantastic albeit heart stopping win !! lloydy136 1
IronHaggis Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Wednesday are in some good form. Really pushed Citeh in the FA cup and a convincing 2 nil win against Forest.
lloydy136 Posted January 13, 2015 Author Posted January 13, 2015 Transfer window can officially commence now that the annual formality of leeds selling their captain has been completed. The more things change the more they stay the same.
IronHaggis Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Things are seemingly positive at Wednesday. Just waiting for it to go tits up like Leeds and Forest. We should have our own Preseason competition the "We Was Good" Cup. lloydy136 1

IronHaggis Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 It is nice that we are being quite competitive. There is talk that we may have some investment in the transfer window for players to make a push. Whether that is from Mandaric or the rumoured takeover. Mandaric is known to talk it up a little though.
Smoggy Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 No love lost between Derby and Forest fans I believe. Boro continue their steady progress with another convincing win yesterday. No one is really pulling away at the top this year so could go down to the final day for who goes automatically up. I would be happy to be in second place by 1 clear point on the final day, our final game is home to Brighton which we would surely win, so any final day advantage that means we just need to avoid defeat on the final day would do me as things stand.

You're right.....no love lost between the fans....but to attack a player is totally out of order. His life will be a misery from this point.

Dickheads like him can be proud of such actions and will probably be boasting about it all from the comfort of his usual cell and catching up with familiar police officers and fellow in mates who he hasn't seen for a month or so. MartinTyler Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Trust me....he will be a marked man whether he goes to jail or not.
Smoggy Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 So Boro comfortably dispatch Crapdiff and move in to the top 2, could be temporary as Ipswich play tomorrow evening. Bournemouth have hit the skids a little bit, they dropped points last night also Moved to within just a point of them now. Soooo very tight at the top, going all the way to the final few games I reckon. Boro well placed for the run in anyway.
