This is too good to be true, Frank Farina being rumoured to be the next church Fagiano Okayama:rofl:

SAY WHAT??? that would be such WTF signing hahhaa.

So is Japan just keen on Aussie coaches now after the success of Postecoglu, Muscat and Cklamovski?

Coach or church?

Church would be better the Church of Frank Farina. He would get stuck in to the altar wine (allegedly)

Machida Zelvia are coming first in the J2 and their coach has them playing the best football. It will be interesting to see if they can keep the core of their players, with added improvements to the squad for the J-League

Yokohama F Marinos friendlies so far:

W 6-4 vs Celtic

L 3-5 vs Manchester City

Tactics. How should we attack? Muscat: Yes

How should we defend? Muscat: By attacking

To quote my old coach… The best form of defence is attack.

And Muscat had the best defence in the J-League last season along with the best attack.

Musky's team got knocked out the YBC Levain Cup semi final against Urawa Red Diamonds, his team have gone backwards since losing 4-1 in the derby and winning only 4 games in the last 12 in all competitions.

Seems like the criticism is aimed at Musky and the club for failing to properly recruit or replace players that have left the club.

Mitch Duke going to the J-League next season

Battle for the title between Vissel Kobe and Yokohama FC is still on after they both won on the weekend, only 4pts separates 1st and 2nd with 4 games to go

So @mack are you able to explain the 2nd last man rule and why this goal should have been ruled offside? There seems to be confusion and debate about this last minute goal from Kobe.

As said above, if he's in his own half it's not offside, and he probably was based on the replays I've seen. If they score, they keep a slim chance of winning title. If they lose, they hurt Kevin Muscat's chances of winning with Yokohama .

And since they lost the J-League Cup final getting to 2nd place is only way they'd get an ACL spot.

That's an extremely bold move considering how harsh the winters can be, especially in the northern regions. Players won't enjoy needing to do two pre-seasons and having their post-season breaks reduced. Long term goal might be smaller indoor stadiums that can host training & matches during winter.
