Noah Botic perhaps?

Seems like he's going to St Pauli and I personally think Angus Thurgate will have a crack as well.

Players like Grimaldi, Walatee, Bozinovski, Leonard would be decent pickups.

Apparently we’ve been linked to Justin Vidic from the Jets. Not sure why - he seems like the same player Temelkovski is…?

A younger (and better) version of Temelkovski if you ask me.

He was apart of the Wanderers Academy years ago. He is a westie as he started his career with Bonnyrigg White Eagles when he was 12, He went to Sydney Olympic when he was 13. Left Olympic and joined the Wanderers till he was 15 and then went to Marconi mid-season while he was 15 until he was scouted by Newcastle Jets when he was 18.

In 2023, he scored 22 goals in 33 games in all competitions. Scored 4 in 2 Australia Cup games. Scored 15 in 9 U20's games and 3 in 22 NPL games. The stats for the NPL may not sound good but he was playing off the bench and only getting about 10-15 minutes in some games.

I think he would be a great player to come off the bench and replace either Sapsford or Borello or even him and Sapsford pairing up while Borello plays on the wing could be sexual.

So...why not bring him home

The rumour mill going around is that Sapsford wants to try his luck overseas. I think its a bit early for him to go. This was his breakout season but there is still gaps in his game that can be improved on before leaving.

Club is trying to resign him though so all up in the air.

Too early for Sapsford. He's only played minutes equivalent to 22 full games in the league. That's less than Irankunda, who was dominating the league more than Sapsford before he left.

As per X (Twitter) ...

Zac Sapsford is rumoured to depart the Wanderers after enjoying a career-best season in which he scored 8 goals in 25 appearances. An overseas move is the likely option, however, a move to another A-League club isn’t out of the picture.

... I hope Stajcic plans the new season well and builds a strong squad with excellent replacements.

But still ....  :crap:

He's already a regular starter in the league, playing in a team that sets up to attack and score heaps of goals, under a coach that picks him over a visa striker. Moving to another A-League club seems like a weird decision.

It is ok if we could sign a new visa CF for coming season.
