  • West Sydney Supporters Meeting Sunday 3rd June

    mack

A date has been set down for the first of the "Supporter" meetings.

    Sunday 3rd June 2012.

At this meeting we hope for all supporters of the club both here and in other places online (and other groups) to come together to talk about the active support for the club.

I know many people are getting restless at the perceived lack of progress. This meeting should enable everyone who attends to help decide how they wish to support the club. This may be in one large group, or several sub-groups. It will be an open meeting and I should hope everyone remotely interested in the active support/home end support will come along. If you don't come along you might not get to have your say. You may not get to see the vision or views of others. Hopefully this can ease any of the tension between various groups of people, and any other sub-groups.

Please mark it down and try your best to attend.

Further details will be given as per time/location later as they come to hand.

That could be a bad idea in a meeting which touches on some heated issues ...

Does Parramatta Park have an amphitheatre? Weather permitting, would be ideal.

Is Church st mall a bit too public or are we after something a bit more private, like a park?

Haha I was just kidding Jowel. I definitely wouldn't suggest holding an important meeting in the middle of a pedestrian mall

What about we meet in the drive thru at a Macca's on the M4? All of us in a row of cars circling through the drive through for an hour, discussions to be had on CB's? ... I have other suggestions too ...

Train from lithgow, picks up everyone along the way, terminates at central, goes back towards lithgow, drops everyone off on the way back. Easy done.

What if we all meet at Club Marconi. I reckon I could get them to give us a free function room.

Mind your language or you won't be permitted access to our prestige transportation service on match days.

Whats wrong with Mounties, they do have a very active junior football program.

Tommy McCullogh is the youth coaching coordinator.

Nothing. I'll be travelling a fair distance so doesn't really bother me. I reckon I could haggle a function room out of Mounties as well.

A venue we're thinking of using as an away venue etc is a good idea, start building the relationship

Guess these are other issues for the meeting to thrash out.

Mack, might be an idea to start confirming numbers and venue for the meeting. If we are going to have a fair few of us, we need to book something, or atleast forewarn a smaller venue (Woolpack). Also, my offer still stands to help negotiate a function room frebbie from a venue. I just need numbers, time and venue to do it.

I drive past the Woolpack alot and there's a sign that says "book a function room for free" or something to that effect.

There ya go ... we need a room for a proper meeting, people need to be heard and not be shouting over a loud open area of other people.

Any chance dropping in next time and asking them the deal. Would probably rely on minimum numbers using bar or food, or both.

whats wrong with a park with a free gad bbq . Bring your own food and drink , its cheap , plenty of room , you dont have to book , plus we could probobly kick a ball around for a while to . Plenty of park like this around

That's a good idea too Cleve ... I could go either way.

Plus doesn't harm us to show them we are of good character. Get the relationship going. Maybe we can have the function rooms for away games as well. Doesn't interfere with Cricket on the tele then.
