Offer from Juve…hard to believe tbh.

I can only draw two conclusions from it, if its true that he rejected them.

1. Tomi is shooting himself in the foot. He'll end up in the second Armenian division soon if he keeps going this way.

2. His manager is some deadshit on the level of Basha.

People actually believe that. Lol.

Juve sell Pogba for 88mil then sign juric as replacement would have been more believable garbage coming from dailyterror.

Lol what garbage.

Guys, it's not that hard to believe. Juventus not only look to sign players for there first team but they look to develop players of lessor ability & look to make a substantial transfer fee from it. This happens to a lot of clubs across Europe so it should come as no surprise. They have a few players on there books which this is the case & James Troisi is one of them.

James Troisi is a perfect example of this type of policy. JT, who is a decent player from Australia wouldn't make any of the big teams in Europe but after signing him for not much, look to develop him by loaning out to other clubs to a point where they can move him on! Juric would be signed for no transfer fee (maybe a signing on bonus) & would be guided to improve under Juventus's watchful eye.

Burger, Chelsea also have this policy. Look at Patrick Bamford, they bought him 4 years ago & looked to develop him by loaning him out to other clubs (Boro this season in the championship). It can work out like Josh McEachran, praised as being the next big thing but his loan moves in the past few seasons have failed miserably & hasn't progressed much but it could work out like Ryan Betrand. Not quite good enough to be a Chelsea player but has had many loan spells in many teams in the EPL & championship. Look how successful he turned out to be this year for Southampton when he advanced so much to be one of the best left backs in the EPL. Not saying he is going to be the next Betrand but Tomi being approached by Juventus is not that much of a stretch!

If Janko and Smeltz stay then good luck to him if he goes East. He'll need it.

Smeltz is old, I am of the belief that they would release him for Juric, if Juric keeps up his good game days week in week out :)

One year older than Santa, and not going anywhere according to Arnie.

When they had all their players fit at the beginning of the season, he on the bench all the time, Gameiro was ahead of him too, if Gameiro stays, I don't know where they will fit Juric, unless they get rid of one of them, or get rid of a player in different position....

No, its extremely hard to believe. James Troisi wasn't bought because Juventus believed he was a good player, he was bought simply as a bargaining chip for Atalanta's Manolo Gabbiadini. He also has an Italian passport, which helps in these situations as in Italy you can only sign 2 non-EU players a season. Anyway, IIRC, they immediately loaned Troisi to Atalanta (where he was nowhere near good enough and barely played) and got 1/2 of Gabbiadini's contract in return. Juventus currently own Troisi, but he will be sold to that Belgian club for a pretty paltry amount.

Let's be honest here, this is the ******* gossip section of the Terrorgraph FFS, this article is simply clickbait, believe me, there is absolutely ZERO truth to this rumour. First, Juventus would never look to sign him, and secondly, even if they actually were interested in him, there is no chance he'd say no. Why would Juventus look to sign a player from the other side of the world as a bargaining chip, when they can do that with the horde of players they currently have on their books? Oh and the co-ownership system that is currently used in Italy will be abolished at seasons end.

Anyway, there hasn't been a peep about this so called "rumour" from any credible Italian sports-paper/journalist. And you think there would be when it regards a current member of the Australian NT, and a player fairly highly rated here as well. It's a non-starter.

I can't edit my post for some reason, but yeah it absolutely ridiculous to believe that Juventus would "waste" one of their two non-EU spots on Tomi ******* Juric. It's just an absurd rumour from any aspect you look at it. But yeah, good for a laugh :D

So obviously Croatia is not in the European Union? Otherwise foreign player rules wouldn't be a problem in some leagues

Fair enough WSWJuve, I thought it was believable! You don't buy the concept of developing young players & picking up a tidy transfer fee? No Italian passport or nothing from Italy doesn't help the rumour but why would there be for just another development player?

Link to comment

That would be absolutely horrible. We've obviously got plenty of people that have been at SFC and then played for us but that is due to the nature of the league and because we weren't around. If Tomi chucks a Sol Campbell he will have trouble next home derby.

I don't really care where he goes, just as long as he goes... I somehow don't think he will if Bulut rumours are true though but it is very obvious that they can't work together and one or both of them have to go.

I will have no respect for him if he goes to easts

I agree.

If any deal has been signed to go east, let's hope it has a clause which states if he gets a good offer overseas he can leave at the drop of a hat. That way, when he scores a hat trick against Guangzhou, the offers will come flooding in and he'll move on

Agreed. Sadly I don't think either of them would be happy if not they were not starting every game. They are both young & eager to impress. If we don't pull off something amazing in the ACL, the rotation policy will probably be watered down & I don't really see them starting up front together under Popa's philosophy

Yeah I agree but it's not so much if they aren't on the park at the same time, it's just it looks like both of them actually in the same squad isn't working.
