eZZa
Thanks for the work and money you put in to this Mack, when I can, I will put something forward to help you out, can't have one person spending all their cash on this! Liking the board more and more as I get used to it, has a lot of nice features. Link to comment

Fenerli
I was a member on the old forum when it looked like both the new Sydney & Melbourne clubs would be coming into the comp at the the same time, but only made a few posts. Shame it has taken this long, but hopefully the club is success. Will be keen to get along to a game up there next season, as I'm sure alot other MH lads will aswell. Link to comment
aussiepwr
This is awesome. I grew up in Sydney's West and have been a football fan all my life. Sadly 11 years ago i moved here to the USA. I've been following the A-League every day since it started and even had a friend play in it for a while. Everytime i visit, i go to Sydney FC games as they were the closest thing we've had to a real team in Sydney, but (no offense the the cove) there's never been any real passion there, and certainly no regard as to what the supporters want. To see a team come up in West Sydney is exciting, and will be embraced by the local community whole-heartedly if done right. These initial meeting to get fan base feedback is definitely the best first step possible and in the right direction. Guy represent us good in these meetings! make us proud to be Sydney's working class families and communities. Soon i'll visit again, and have my new jersey on and be there by your side supporting! rekaf
Hi, i've just joined this site. Ive been involved in football all my life, and that is quite a few years. Ive supported Sydney FC since the start, and have gone to quite a few games, including down in Melbourne against the Victory. Ive always wanted a team in the west, and i am now quite excited about it. I am really looking forward to to seeing Sydney West grow into a competetive team. Link to comment
OuttaSydney
Good work so far Mack. I hope you keep this going and give it plenty of time. Though i cannot revert from my last 7 years of support, i am all in for the success and good building of WS. I cannot be anything but in support but at the same time loyal to what i have spent lots of money and emotions in to. Never an enemy or foe and always in support of WS. I'm sure there will be a few people around like myself. One thing i have always disliked about SFC support is how much hate is given to the opposition, not enough love for your own team. Please people, do your best to support your team, your WS team. Link to comment
Benched
Well said OuttaSydney. What you touched on is what alienated so many of us. Glad to see you visit this site with an intelligent and rational comment. Hope your fellow FC'ers are of similar mind. Link to comment
mack
Definitely. One of the things that drove me away from SFC is their incessant negativity and hatred of everything that isn't their own little cove groups. Link to comment

Glad to see you visit this site with an intelligent and rational comment. Hope your fellow FC'ers are of similar mind. Don't bet on it. I am loyal to my heart, which is why i cannot change my loyalty. But am a 'Westie' and feel all the things narrow minded comments of SFC supporters would make a WS lad feel. My Pride keeps me at SFC, but my heart is inclining towards my own folk. Link to comment
RBBKopite
seems funny a couple weeks after this forum was set up the announcement was made, inside info Mack I played an April Fools prank on followers of my club's facebook page saying I was asked to coach a "soon-to-be-announced" West Sydney A League team and 2 days later Buckley/Mack made the announcement. Must admit I got an evil sense of satisfaction when the kids I coach only partly read the facebook prank and freaked out. Link to comment
Taurus
Just spoke to "old mate" who is fuming over the intended structure, potential admin appointments and transfer of those costs from FFA to our WSF Club. He is demanding changes at FFA and has penned a piece which one of the major newspapers were going to run last week, however, editorial differences saw the publication of the piece deferred. Watch this space as I'm trying to obtain a copy of the article, however, old mate is reluctant to release as he's concerned about libel aspects. Newspapers do they're own due diligence on such matters and offer a level of protection to individuals that can't be provided if the comments are published on the net. mack 1 Link to comment
Taurus
Here's a link to the re-constituted article in the Australian. There was a lot of "content" in the original draft that has been removed. http://www.theaustralian.com.au/sport/football/rushed-club-in-west-sydney-suicidal-rrasic/story-fn63e0vj-1226363890347 mack 1 Link to comment
marron
It's pretty general stuff. Are there specific concerns about the structure that you can allude to Taurus without incriminating anyone? Link to comment
Taurus
I can't really add much more, well not on a public forum. Cgorac did mention that a tierce discussion that took place at the Banstown Fan Forum. His comments can be viewed in the relavent thread. Seek me out at the Supporters Meeting and I may be able to discuss it with you in greater detail. Link to comment

Wonder if this statement from Gorman today about attacking football is an attempt to get some positive PR as a response to this one. Link to comment
Taurus
There was a lot of "content" in the original draft that has been removed. Yeah, LG's statement today in regard to the Community involvement was an obvious responce to the article in the Australian. The paper may publish another story / installment next week, which shall include some of the 'other content' I have previously referred too. Link to comment

Mattski
Going back to the comments that Rasic made. He has basically become a full bloated whinger. All sports have them; Neil Harvey - cricket Kieren Perkins - swimming Paul Wade and Rale Rasic - football I'm tired of Rasic. Yes you did a great job in 1974, but stop pissing all over your legacy and complaining about everything. I just hope to God he doesn't get a stand named after him. If he did, he'd probably whine about that too Link to comment
