Parramatta Stadium in it's inaugural year as a full time A-League stadium has taken third place in the PFA Stadium Ratings, scoring a 3.81 out of 5.

The PFA ratings saw Melbourne Victory's AAMI Park & Etihad Stadium take first and second place respectively with overall scores of 4.26 & 4.10, with the Wanderer's Parramatta Stadium in 3rd place with a 3.81 out of 5.

The quality of the RBB's active support in their first year was recognised by taking 2nd place in the atmosphere category, behind Melbourne Victory, and in front of 3rd place Sydney FC.

Parramatta Stadium was ranked in the following categories:
  • Pace - 4.15 (2nd)
  • Hardness - 3.62 (3rd)
  • Smoothness - 3.69 (4th)
  • Atmosphere - 4.27 (2nd)
Melbourne Victory Captain Adrian Leijer spoke about the atmosphere generated across the A-League.

"For years our fans have been the benchmark when it comes to support in the stands across the A-League, and as players, we certainly feel that it gives us an edge over our opponents. We know our fans will also take their support to another level in the coming seasons, now that Western Sydney's Red and Black Bloc are on the rise, and we can't wait to see it again when we take to the pitch."

Hmmm. 2nd for atmosphere seems like a rip off to me....but I guess the players would find it a tough place to come to .

Maybe only 2nd coz parra only ramped up heavily after new year? Eg. Newcastle never experienced a rocking wanderland coz they came early.

Bigger worry is that ESFC is 3rd. Doesnt say much for bottom 8 teams atmosphere wise.

AAMI Park and Etihad are also much better stadiums for active support than Parra. For us a lot of sound just vanishes into the air, while at AAMI it echoes around the ground.

Why have I heard people refer to them as 'Order'?

That is "Horda". One of their sub-groups.

would have lost big points with the smoothness and hardness with the bum sniffers running around chewing it up as seen GF day

the stadium itself is quite a good one to watch football ......just its potential is under utilised what with the weak home team and all

i thought they meant the stadium not the surface, we did pretty well

The surface was immaculate before the NRL season. Like a billiard table. You only have to look at the highlight reels of the 2nd WSW vs CCM match to see how awesome it was.

Agreed. The surface was impeccable - I don't think it could have been made much better at all.

Next season we should close the roof on Parra for every game and not feed the lions for a week then let Hersi chase them before we let the whole pack loose on the pitch. The council should also pass a motion forcing all residents and businesses to repaint their venues red and black and the gods ordered that there be no more sky blue between Ashfield and Penrith.

Parra won't reach the ultimate heights of atmosphere until the north and south terraces are covered. The playing surfaces will be a mess and somewhat embarrassing (in world professional football terms) until clubs have their own stadiums and don't have to share with the thick neck paddock churners and billboarders. Could be a long wait.
