Davo
It's difficult to make a direct comparison, as Ange isn't a club where he can break the world record transfer fees for a defender and a keeper when things aren't going well. Sithslayer1991, StringerBellend and EmMac 3 Link to comment
Smoggy
Spurs are on / at a similar level to Aston Villa. You would have to say with resources available that Emery has done a fantastic job to finish in a champions league spot and above Spurs. In that respect you would have to say Emery has out coached Ange this season. Spurs I would think would have been looking at 4th as a good outcome. No point comparing with Liverpool, Arsenal or Man City. Emery and Villa are a reasonable marker. Edited May 16 by Smoggy Carns 1 Link to comment

Liverpool don't get to do that all their players came for free and our childhood Liverpool fans. Klopp is over achieving and doesn't have the players to compete with Man City. It's those Arabs... Emery deserves huge credit for what he's done a Villa. He's been there nearly a season longer than Ange has been at Spurs, but that includes coming in without a pre-season last season and picking up the wreckage Gerrard left behind. They were unlucky they ran out of steam in the Conference League. I have a mate at work who's a huge Villa fan and we've had a weird truce this season. I haven't been able to give it to him because United have been garbage, but he hasn't been able to give it to me because United beat Villa home and away this season. Sithslayer1991
Emery over the season has kept Villa more consistent. Ange Spurs form has come in waves but they haven't maintained the consistency. Highest of high and lowest of lows and still dragged this team to 5th after losing Kane. You can see from the last games how frustrated he is with the squad giving it to them for passing it back StringerBellend and Smoggy 2 Link to comment
StringerBellend
Klopp is manager of the year, he has massively over achieved with a squad that has cost no money... Apart from the 100s of millions of pounds (that somehow don't count) Yours A Kopite Emery as manager of the year for mine although honorable mention for the Dyche Man keeping us up with games to spare, with actually no money and points reduction and Mad Mosh trying to sell the club to a bunch of cokedup investment bankers Smoggy 1 Link to comment

Should bring over a couple of championship sides to kick the shite out of each other instead. They could turn the sprinklers on for 8 hours pre game and recreate a Tuesday night at Grimsby type scene.... That would be more entertaining. Link to comment
