    Some quality trolling.

I GREW up playing junior football in Sydney, then supported Sydney FC as a kid. To say I am proud to represent the people of Sydney in a Sky Blues shirt is a massive understatement.

I was in the grandstand when Sydney FC kicked off the A-League, shouted for the Sky Blues when we won the 2005-06 grand final and then played in the 2009-10 grand final. It was one of the proudest days of my career.

This year, the Sydney derby has arrived and I'd be lying if I said it didn't mean something to me. It's not just another game. It's not one game at a time. It cuts deeper. This is the game that matters the most. Why? Because Sydney is Sky Blue. Always has been, always will be.

I'll wake up on Saturday morning with an extra spring in my step. My stomach will be churning.

I've played football with some of the Wanderers players. I even won a grand final and premiership with a few of them. That gets put to one side as soon as we head to the stadium.

Because I know what it's like to be a supporter of Sydney FC, and the passion and pride our fans have, I'll do whatever I can to make sure our fans leave Parramatta Stadium with bragging rights.

I want our fans to walk down their street the next day, whether it is in Paddington, Panania, Penrith or Pymble, with their heads held high.

Sydney FC is a team for all Sydney. I grew up on the north shore and played football for West Pymble and Northern Spirit.

But the Griffiths brothers - Joel and Adam - grew up in Sutherland. Terry Antonis grew up in Bankstown. Brett Emerton grew up in Campbelltown.

Then there's Ivan Necevski, Paul Reid, Blake Powell, Mitch Mallia, Joel Chianese, Vedran Janjetovic, Rhyan Grant, Nathan Sherlock, Peter Triantis, Hagi Gligor and Daniel Petkovski - they grew up all over Sydney, playing their football for junior football clubs, associations and state league clubs. Some even played in the National Soccer League.

Terry McFlynn and Ali Abbas came to Australia from other countries and now call Sydney home. They are Australian citizens, representing the multicultural mosaic of this city.

We're not the eastern suburbs club. We're not the ''Silvertails''. We are Sydney Football Club.

But make no mistake; we are ambitious, and we make no apologies for who we are and what we stand for.

Sydney FC has attracted the likes of Alessandro Del Piero, Dwight Yorke, Juninho, Benito Carbone and Kazu to the A-League, to help build the league. Not to mention enticing Brett Emerton and Lucas Neill home, just as the club did with Steve Corica and plenty more before them.

Sydney is a truly international city that likes bright lights and craves global headlines. Sydney FC play a part in that but the club also gives local players, like me, a pathway. It has been doing it since 2005.

Despite the rhetoric from some, there is a club in Sydney giving young people something to aspire to and football fans a team to support.

On Saturday night they will stand united behind Sydney FC. Dressed in sky blue, wearing our colours with pride.

They'll come from all over Sydney to support Sydney FC - just like I did.

I wouldn't mind betting there are a few kids in the crowd that will one day wear the Sydney FC shirt. That's what this is all about.

By the way I think if someone actually sat down with the likes of those great SFC names Yorke, ADP, Kazu, Carbone and Juninho I bet the first thing that attracted them was the money (and in Yorke's case also the nightclubs and vertical smiles from compliant young ladies). And can someone remind me again how the A-League has been built up by the influence of Kazu etc? Oh that's right....they formed part of the forgotten past no one gives a flying fick about.

thats because the smurfs don't think this is a big game...apparently. The rivalry they have with Victory is more important...seems legit.

For a league with only 10 teams, the A-League is rather plentiful in derbies. Here at Sack Attack we've decided to give you a little primer on some of them ahead of the Sydney Derby this weekend!

(Can't post the pic from the iPad, but here's the link!

The Sydney Derby (Sydney FC vs. Western Sydney Wanderers FC)

The A-League's newest derby. The true essence of this derby is summed up in the fact that you can buy a damn good kebab in Western Sydney for about $5 whereas the same kebab in the CBD would cost $15.

Shame what they did to Juninho. He was a brilliant player before he went to FC.
