Wanderers members will have an exclusive window tomorrow to purchase tickets for the Sydney Derby.

It has also confirmed that it has matched the Sydney FC membership offer of free public transport to matches.

The final announcement is that prior to the first Wanderers match against Central Coast, that all foundation members will be recognised on the field for joining the club in it's inaugural year.

The Western Sydney Wanderers are very happy to announce that the exclusive opportunity for Wanderers FC Members to buy additional tickets to ALL this season's matches (including the first Sydney Derby) tomorrow.

The Western Sydney Wanderers make their Hyundai A-League debut at Parramatta Stadium on Saturday 6 October against Central Coast Mariners (7.45pm).

In Week Three (Saturday 20 October, 7.45pm kick off), we’ll see the first ever Sydney derby between the Wanderers and Sydney FC also at Parramatta Stadium.

The only way to guarantee a seat at these historic matches is to become a Wanderers Foundation Member.

Everyone who has signed up as part of the football family will be able to purchase tickets from 9am this Friday so keep an eye out for specific communication from the Football Family.

The purchase link was provided in a separate email to existing members so please check all email folders and spam filters in case you missed the second email.

"Window" suggests it's just for today? Or is it from this point onwards?

hey all, quick question. As a member do I need to book/confirm that I'm attending, or do I just turn up on the day?

I agree with you cg. They seem to be relying on word of mouth, but I would expect advertising to ramp up as the season starts.

Suggestion: print out some stylish looking posters and hand them out to every business in Parramatta, Penrith, Blacktown etc. If only 5-10% put them up in their windows it would be a win. Grassroots and cheaper than mainstraem media.

Notice that the away support area for the Sydney derby is 3 times the size of the normal away support area compared to the central coast game.

So all home games we are guaranteed a seat, I understand this but at the Sydney Derby that's a sell out.. how will they know it's officially sold out? What if some members can't make the game so there is empty seats?

a "sellout" is determined by how many tickets sold/allocated, not by how many show up. The Melbourne derby is sold out, but there is always 3k of empty seats that the "corporates" have but don't attend.

If you are a season ticket holder, you already have your allocated ticket and don't need to confirm anything. Just turn up with your season pass (that we haven't received yet)

Gotta say, ESFC's free transport didn't drag me in.

I can say though that the Wanderers have just saved me a $60 return train fare. Yee ha.

Thats another dozen schooners you can but me at each home game and the occasional away game.:good::crazy:

Seven Hills is a very broad minded, tolerant suburb which specialises in a "live and let live" philosphy and which is home to wonderful people.

This Del Piero day crap is a joke, the only people that are fans of it are Sydney FC fans.

Can't believe the FFA have done this.

So I now present to you.. Aaron Mooy day! I'm going to post heaps saying tomorrow is Aaron Mooy day and see if any Sydney FC fans bite back ;)

if its all free public transport then that is amazing do cityrail staff know about it so can we just flash our membership card and not get fined for not having a ticket? :P

I'm struggling to find the relevance between "Del Piero Day" and having the ability to buy tickets for any A-League game in general....

They would sell just the same amount of tickets without calling it a very bias ADP day. How about the other clubs? Do people in Perth want a ADP day? No thanks.

Guys, I bought a few extra tickets (reserved seating) to the round 1 game and the round 3 derby, but the tickets haven't arrived in the mail yet. I bought them almost 2 weeks ago.

Is anyone else having this problem? Are Wanderers tickets slow to get to you? To compare, I also bought some tickets to the derby at the SFS in December and they have already arrived in the mail.

No that I'm complaining, but the club have not helped my, or should I suggest our, shared alchohol addiction.

Their Free Public Transport policy has ensured that they'll be a few extra dollars in my/our skyrockets, so we can purchase more schooners at the Woolpack, before and after every match.
