Paul01 Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 Preview from Football NSW. North Shore Mariners currently top after the boys lost to Mounties last weekend. North Shore Mariners FC vs. Western Sydney Wanderers FC – 4pm Sunday 2ndJune, Northbridge Oval This match-up pits two of the hot running sides in the league and is set to be a cracker to end the round. Each side has been effective and highly efficient on the offensive end, boasting one each of the favourites to pick up the golden boot in Mitchell Smith and Mohamed Adam. Whilst the lads up front keeping banging in the goals, it’s the hard working defensive and midfield units that have ensured that both teams deflect any opposition’s advances. The top two defensive records are set to be put to the test this weekend and is going to be a true test of credentials. Edinburgh, BohemianDublin and Prydzopolis 3
Paul01 Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Preview from Football NSW Western Sydney Wanderers vs. Central Coast Mariners FC – 7pm Saturday 8thJune, Sydney United Sports Centre The battle for A-League supremacy in the NPL 2 once again joins the party. Since their last meeting it has been upwards again and again for Western Sydney, and still they look capable of continuing their run all the way to the finish line. Central Coast have been at the mercy of the waves of fortune, often riding smooth until it swells and comes crashing down. Obviously a little more than the three points are on the line in this one. It could be a last chance for the sides to face each other this season, bragging rights and reputation holds a certain priceless value. Prydzopolis and Edinburgh 2

Paul01 Posted June 9, 2019 Posted June 9, 2019 Next weekend, it is somewhat of a Rooty Hill derby. All academy teams play Blacktown Spartans.
Paul01 Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 Preview from Football NSW Blacktown Spartans vs Western Sydney Wanderers, 7pm Saturday 15 June, Blacktown Football Park No. 1 We’re set for an extremely local derby in Rooty Hill, as two clubs with headquarters on Eastern Road meet at Blacktown Football Park. The Wanderers are four places and eight points ahead of the Spartans, however form favours the team in orange after a comprehensive victory over Macarthur last Saturday. Conversely, the Wanderers have not won in four games. For the Spartans, what can Lachlan Rose do this week? The flying winger put in a performance to match his flowing locks against the Rams, notching two goals and two assists. One of those assists was for Spartans leading scorer Connor Eldridge, helping him end his mini goal drought on the weekend. Paul Hubbard’s side face a stern test in the Wanderers, who have the most prolific attack in NPL 2. The dynamic duo of Mohamed Adam and Marley Peterson (24 goals between them) combined for another goal in last week’s draw against Central Coast, and Arthur Diles’ young men will not be short of motivation as they look to keep pace with the top two.

Paul01 Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Preview from Football NSW Western Sydney Wanderers v Macarthur Rams, 7:00pm Saturday 22 June, Sydney United Sports Centre This Saturday night clash at Sydney United Sports Centre sees two teams looking for an upturn in form. The Wanderers are still in a reasonably good position, only five points off the top, but have not won in over a month. Meanwhile, Macarthur need points quickly in their quest to avoid relegation. The Red & Black’s most recent win (back in Round 11) was also the last time Arthur Diles’s side kept a clean sheet, so keeping it tight at the back will be a priority. On the plus side, Mohamed Adam found the net again to take his tally to a league-high 15 goals – the young forward has scored in 13 out of his 16 appearances this season. For the Rams, Philip Hasiuk deserved his goal in last week’s match against North Shore, and he was assisted by good performances from Mitchell Arcosa and Yusuke Maruyama. Although they didn’t get a result, Macarthur should gain confidence from pushing a title contender all the way. Prydzopolis and Edinburgh 2
BohemianDublin Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 Hearing some talk that NSW A-League clubs will not participate in NPL next season? Any truth in this? [Wanderers, Sydney, Newcasle, Mariners + McArthur and Canberra uth forming their own league?] Prydzopolis 1
mack Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 That sounds like something that would be done with the NYL during the A-League not the NPL. Prydzopolis 1

hawks2767 Posted July 3, 2019 Author Posted July 3, 2019 Grant Lynch for sure. Fantastic defender. Dunno what the Ivanovic hype is about, Blacktown shut him down and it was a joy to watch. Paul01 1

Paul01 Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Looks like the Academy kids playing in the NPL at senior level have hit wall. Long season for the boys. I don't think there up to NPL1 level yet Even the coasties academy lost to Bonnyrigg 0-2 today. Long season. Hopefully our club has asked for our NPL2 game next Saturday to be rescheduled. Taurus Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 Both Adam & Monge named in a strong squad for tonight's game with Spirit FC. Paul01 Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 Game resheduled. Constable will be out due to suspension On Tuesday night, the Red & Black will look to bounce back from last weekend's loss when they face Bonnyrigg White Eagles at Valentine Sports Park. Originally scheduled for Saturday, the game was rescheduled following the call-up of five Wanderers Academy players to this week's Young Socceroos training camp in Canberra. Jarrod Carluccio, Lochlan Constable, Fabian Monge, Noah Pagden and Jacob Vasiliou were all named in the squad

Paul01 Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 NPL game postponed. Probably due to u19 National team duties for 4 of our NPL2 team. Blessing in disguise that Van Egmond didn't take Mo Adam Why didn't that happen for the game against Bonnyrigg?

mack Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 NPL 2 site says the game vs St George has also been postponed.
Taurus Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 Rounds 23, 24 & 25 of the normal NPL2 season needed to be rescheduled, with the clash with BWE last Wednesday being the 1st of them. Don't attempt to follow the logic, but this is the schedule. 18's & 20's play each weekend as per the fixture list. WSW NPL2 side will play Northern Tigers our round 25 opponent on Wed night at VSP & will play St George FA our round 24 opponent the following Thursday night the 21st. The final round clash with Mounties is unaffected at this stage Paul01 1
