Shouldnt it be titled Western Sydney Wanderers Vs East Sydney Fc?

FIXED

Should also be '**** off East Sydney" rather than just 'Sydney'. I would say that wuit much more conviction ;)

10am friday. It's open 24 hours on Friday right?

+1

didn't think tickets would sell so fast could only get my hands on the black section (eastern terrace). do you think the club will still allow me to enter the north end?

Yep, but you have to enter through a gate that says on your ticket and walk around the stadium. If the RBB section is blocked of, go to the gate you entered from. Ask the guys there for a pass out card, then just walk out of stadium, go to north end and show the pass and go in.

Pretty sure they issue different passout cards for the different gates so this won't work unfortunately.

No i don r it against CCM. It worked.

Saturday is also Calufield Cup day, so I'm thinking I might get there about 1 o'clock for some lunch and a punt

Cant believe the game is sold out already. Maybe one day they will expand Parra stadium to 25-30,000.

I can see that as a possibility for sure.

would love to see it happen on the back of a successful football season too.

cos f00k knows it won't happen on the back of a successful rugby league season there. lol.

It used to be 25,000. Then they added seats.

I'm a bit worried about McFlynn playing to be honest..

He usually does pretty good when playing big matches eg. Tards, finals..

He is a hack and a derby match is what he will thrive on.

Ono and Mooy should wear ankle and knee guards too

It was in the pipeline for a while to have the ground enlarged to around 30,000 odd. It was even in the papers recently from memory.

I remember when there were 26,000 there for the Sydney Olympic V Marconi GF in the old NSL. Great atmosphere but this will be much much bigger.

Can't wait.

A work colleague is pissed off that its sold out (he is a neutral). He said it should be at ANZ so he can get a seat and watch it haha.

he comes in today and says to me "the closer this game gets, the more pissed off I am with your mob by having it at Parra" haha

I keep trying to explain to him that ANZ is a shite stadium for football, but he is still annoyed :D

He's a good old-school football fan though so I tolerate it because its just banter. I just give him shite because I have a team now and he is still waiting for the Wolves to have a HAL team ;)

looks like they gave up on the "hold 700 tickets for future members" thing. I just sent him the link.

i think that was the plan from the get go. milk some memberships with the whole only way to get a ticket and then release the rest of the seats to the public

These tickets will be gone ASAP.

Great marketing by WSW. Selling a few memberships and flogging the remaining tickets off.

I know Hong Kong show A-league matches. Wonder if they'll be hyping this up because of Ono and Del Piero. Might ask my cousin

I attended the first game at the new stadia (which had grass hills at either end) between the Eels and Dragona attended by over 27,000 spectators.

The official line from the State Government is, that despite the Wanderers becoming permanent residents at Stadia Parra, when our 12 home matches are combined with the number of games the Eels play there annually, the facility is at least a couple of major matches / events short of the required number to warrant an upgrade.

Abba may wish to elaborate.
