The plate was lost by losing 5-2 at home to wellington and failing to capitalise on 50 chances against adelaide at home. We wont win the championship because we are blunt up front. City, roar, glory, adelaide they can all score more than a goal and should be favourites ahead of us anyway.

That's an accurate assessment IMO. Western Suburbs find themselves in contention for the league due to a strong early season form, and given the draw I think you are still in with a good shout to win the plate. From then on you just need 2 wins to win your first ever A-League title, but I still don't see you beating City, Roar, Adelaide (and Victory too by the looks of it) to get there, not with Bridge leading the line.

FFS, how many penalties will Victory be denied tonight? I think they had 4 penalty shouts, 2 of which were stonewall.

It's pretty clear now that the streak was a product of short term form, rather than permanent class. A table for 2016 would leave us looking well and truly mediocre.

No Premiers Plate, not good enough in the final third. It's as simple as that. Any shot at the toilet seat will require a dramatic turnaround very soon.

On the final third.. 9 goals in 8 games since we put 4 in against city at home.

Wont win this league with those stats unfortunately. I harbour hope.
