Watching the Joeys. Currently 1-1 with Botic opening the scoring.

Yet again Morgan picks Smurfs. What a f***wit.

Joeys win 2-1

.....results from other groups will decide whether they progress to KO stage.

U19 National Team play Laos at 7pm tomorrow. Let's see how many of our boys play in the starting line-up.

Squad list still to come.

Saw Monge and Carluccio got the second goal on a disappointing 2-2 draw. First goal to former Wanderer Ruiz-diaz. Trewin was sent off in the first half and Laos were up 2-0 at half-time.

U19s beat Chinese Taipei 6-0

GK James

DF Graham, Bos, Pagden, Talbot

MF Monge, Popovic, del Grosso

FW Roberts, Tilio, ianucci

Subs Constable, Ruiz-diaz (YC), Hillman

Aquilina and Carluccio both sat on the bench.

Ruiz-diaz is now suspended

Laos beat Chinese Taipei 2-1 so we currently top the group.

Last game against Chinese Taipei is a must win and the team needs to score well with Laos playing the minnows Macau.

Live stream available

Need a win by 2 goals or more to finish top.

Started well up 2-0 after 13 min. The refs are giving us the wrong end of calls though....lol The commentary is hilarious tbh...Vietnamese I think.

A-League’s breakout teen Al Hassan Toure handed first Australian call-up

Adelaide United’s teen sensation Al Hassan Toure has been called up to Australia’s U-23 squad for a three-match friendly series in China this month.

His unbelievable performances for Adelaide United in the FFA Cup and A-League this campaign led to an international tug of war over his services, with the country of his parents – Liberia – looking to fast-track him into their senior international team.

Toure had said he was interested in representing both nations, but this week opted for his adopted country.

Australia’s national team coach Graham Arnold opted to take a conservative approach, bringing him into the U23 national team which is preparing for the 2020 AFC U-23 Championship in January – which also decides which three Asian Football Confederation (AFC) teams will compete at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

The U-23 squad will face DPR Korea, Lithuania and China in the space of five days this coming fortnight.

Playing for the U-23 team would not necessarily stop Toure from instead choosing to represent Liberia in the future at senior international level. But it is certainly an indication that Australia and Graham Arnold are hoping he can continue his meteoric rise and eventually represent the Socceroos.

Toure is one of 13 players in the 25-man squad who currently play in the A-League, with other members of the squad playing as far afield as Denmark, Greece, and Croatia.

Ah so Toure is getting capped for Australia,  I had gotten the impression he was already lost to us.

Looking at that squad, Keanu Baccus looks like he will be one of the more experienced old heads in the group.  Will be interesting to see if he can demonstrate some leadership.

Actually, he could play for the Olyroos then switch to either of the two African countries national teams.

Cap must come from a Senior Team cap in a qualifier or FIFA tournament
