Hughesy Posted November 1, 2020 Posted November 1, 2020 Happy November 1st - what I would give to go back and relive that day and campaign. Even better would be seeing the club return to those heights. Prydzopolis 1
Paul01 Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 NPL Youth Teams I believe that all NPL Youth Teams finished above the Easterners and the Sea-bogans in all age groups in their 5 game competition. Finally something to be happy. The last time we won anything as a club was the NYL Grand Final against Heartle$$. I think that FootballNSW thought that these were the top 6 (out of 24 clubs) in NPL1 youth so this is an achievement imho. Prydzopolis and ItchyNek 2

By the look of it our u16 and u18 didn't perform as well, finishing 2nd and 3rd. Overall we got the most points for our division though. The youth division was cut in two. Also bit hard to determine entirely as the NPL site has total games and not matching for all, and doesn't break down into each grades games. Though Apia had a higher total score in the other grouping Prydzopolis 1

MajorMelons Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 Less then 2 months left till the season kicks off. Have the FFA indicated when they will be releasing the draw? I heard we have about 7 friendlies lined up. Are they all behind closed doors?
Tranquilo Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 draw i think has been delayed to end of the month although it was meant to be early november

Pre-season matches are so much more enjoyable / less of a chore than attending actual A-League matches. Especially when they’re at differing venues, plus they’re a great way to support local communities and businesses too. (E.g. Canberra, Cessnock, Maitland, Sefton, Seven Hills) sonar, Prydzopolis and Smoggy 3
ItchyNek Posted November 9, 2020 Posted November 9, 2020 Is Adam back at the club? It says he was appointed today.. https://www.transfermarkt.com/adam-waterson/profil/trainer/24469 Also found this on Linkedin though there is no update on his profile as yet, https://www.linkedin.com/in/adamwaterson8/detail/recent-activity/ (commented on JTs post about the ACL win which was about a week ago "Look fwd creating more memories one day soon mate 👍🏼") Prydzopolis 1

He recently had a baby with his wife, who from his Facebook posts has lots of family in America. Plus I’d be fairly certain he’d be on much better money at galaxy than what they’d be paying in the aleague.

To me that suggests someone just created his page and didn't bother looking too much into where he was.
Paul01 Posted November 9, 2020 Posted November 9, 2020 Trawling for news, I found that our club has actually made it onto the Premier League news website, but I could be mistaken. I expect you guys from ol Blighty to correct me if I got it wrong. https://premierleague-news.com/uk-news-graham-dorrans-joins-western-sydney-wanderers-after-leaving-dundee-premierleague-news-com/41471/ What would make better news is if his signing would give a tilt at the top with the British Isles Coaching duo of Robinson and Miller leading the charge. MajorMelons Posted November 10, 2020 Posted November 10, 2020 Have we played any friendlies recently and does anyone know the results?
Paul01 Posted November 14, 2020 Posted November 14, 2020 Just went to the Wanderers Shop to buy something and had to re-register Looks like things have been happening in the background

102megan Posted November 14, 2020 Posted November 14, 2020 Well apparently the club are working with the government, towards having the pre-season fixtures open to Members, so that should be interesting. Fingers crossed..! Prydzopolis, Edinburgh, sonar and 1 other 4

Fingers crossed..! This means the reign of terror imposed on us by Lowy and Gallop at the behest of his Fox Sports mates is over. We can only hope that the officiating gets to be fair for ALL clubs in the league and that infringements that warrant a red or second yellow card actually get awarded. No more keeping the players on the field just because their Fox Commentators favourites like the mullet wendybr 1

He might be here for two months then return back to the US for the start of their pre-season.
ItchyNek Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Glad his back if only for a few months in the pre-season to get us into gear though if his here for good then even better wendybr 1
