Not much to go off, Auckland/City only had the normal two games and the 2nd was middle of January. Auckland have had a good defence but they have coughed up 4 goals in a few games this season so City will see them as vulnerable to their strong attacking lineup.

That's of course assuming that Auckland make it, a 1-0 win isn't tie over by any means.

I would be almost insulted if the MV manager doesn’t come up with another master plan for what is now essentially another away elimination game for them. Why would we be so special to have the mother of all ******* plans all click to together against us and just let Auckland get away with it….i expect MV to monster them.

It'd be hard for Victory not to improve on a game with no shots on target. Auckland still have some room to improve as well and playing at home with a 1 goal lead.

Have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe, your side doesn't turn up for the big games?

 

Surely it can't be coincidence that all of these teams appear to have their games of the year every time they play you while your side falls in a heap.

Yeah..fair comment…I did think that also. Yes…we need to turn up.

We've had 2 big games in almost a decade. Not exactly a large sample size to base such things off.

Unfortunately, since the initial 4 seasons, in the majority of cases this is correct. The odd derby win etc, but can't deny that we need to step up.

Lost the grand final in Adelaide then came back in Round 1 in the biggest A-League crowd ever (and still biggest) & got smashed 4-1 with Popovic's awful Borda/Pinatares/Jumpei including squad. That was the beginning of the end and the club still haven't recovered from it.

Can't see WU getting over Mel City but MV still have a shot. MV have to step up a lot though. I don't want Auk to win it.
