Considering whether to go to this one tomorrow, but I'm just concerned about the trek back to Blacktown afterward... as in, how to get from stadium to Central, then home.

Pretty sure many have mentioned using the light rail system to get from the central out to the stadium. Give it a go!

I've only taken the light rail from Central to Star City :ninja:

there's stations after the star?

there is light rail around Central?

For all your light rail needs

http://www.sydneylightrail.transport.nsw.gov.au

thank you Transport looks like a massive pain so i most likely will give it a miss

I might just get a train to Lewisham or Petersham, and walk there. Then, I'll just taxi it home.

It ain't too hard.

the trip planner tells me i need to go on at least 8 different forms of transport just to get there

Wow, where are you coming from? From Central station you could just hop on bus 440 and you can hop off just a few blocks from the stadium. Example

Goat, just so travelling tomorrow night doesn't do your head in, this is for you.  I posted the following in the "Pre-Season" thread, & have copied below:

Better way may be either:

1. Buses 444/445 from Petersham Station, heading towards Balmain Wharf (recommended bcs it avoids battling peak hour outbound traffic along Parramatta Rd); or

2. Bus 440 from Town Hall/Railway Square.

Jump off at Mary St stop just after the lights at Lilyfield Rd & 3 min walk to Leichhardt Oval. Lights will be on, so you can't miss it.

Should be plenty of street parking within 10-15 min walk. Oval just up the road from Le Montage, where a lot of wedding receptions are held.

Trust me, I was a Balmain Tigers supporter, having grown up nearby & attended countless matches. Super League & Wests Tigers? It's them I have to thank for my defection to the world game, & thankfully, LFC & WSW. See you all at Leichhardt!!

Also, for those coming by car:
Peak hour traffic along the City West Link coming off Parramatta Rd likely to be very slow.  If you're running late, & the traffic isn't moving, alternative option is to park on Henley Marine Drive (or surrounding streets), next to Timbrell Park in Five Dock, & 20-25 min walk around the bay. (My apologies, I can't work out how to paste from Google Maps.)

Its likely that Alessi, Sotorio & D'Cunha will be playing for the Young Socceroos against the All Stars in Wollongong tomorrow night.

Fish Markets, been there on the tram a few times. Also I work not far from the Glebe tram stop, which is where I will be jumping on if I can't be arsed to walk it.

Yes, there's a light rail station at Norton St Leichhardt. About 5 mins walk to Leichhardt Oval.

Haven't been to a game since the ACL game and I missed the game at Campbelltown cos I was overseas. I'm so bloody keen for tonight!

Just a question, are all tickets GA or is there special tickets for the RBB? Not interested in being anywhere else but the bloc.

I think its all just GA. If its like campbelltown everyone sat where ever they wanted, it was just that the RBB was on the far side of the stadium

Thinking of coming straight from work at Mac park so will drive in rather than go home to Parra first.

Orange grove sounds like dinner venue in that case.

Look out for the loner ;)

Looking forward this! Just picked up jacket from the Nike Outlet today, can't wait to debut it :)

Also would like to see a stronger side compared to the last two weeks, especially as it is our last game before FFA Cup which is followed by taking on Chinese Champions in the ACL.

Missed the Campbelltown match because I was watching my other team be abysmal in New Zealand.

This is about the only time moving (recently) to Newtown works being a Wanderer (that and the away derby).

Well I'm about to go get ready and leave, it will probably take an hour to get to the ground.

Gee, thanks for that!! :xbop:

Updates from the ground to this site possible?
