Rumour we are about to sign Jason Cummings from Dundee... he is 26 year old striker, and apparently on the outer with his coach because of his party boys ways.... looks like we are going to offer the former Scottish international a career change and rebuild your career in the land down under ... he has other offers I assume at more money and better clubs... but may come to the Coast...

One of those.... I have been a dickhead and I gonna work hard to get back on top ... or a last big laugh on the beach...

LOL

Gosford is a hole.... its picking up a tad on how bad it used to be.... but still a hole....

The Coast is a series of small villages and its the beach side villages that are nice ....

Having said what a hole Gosford is... [and it is]... Gosford stadium on the other hand, has been voted by a number of sites as one of the top 10 most beautiful stadiums in the world....

On the outer because he fails to deliver.......Forest signed him a few years back with much hype after netting a few in Scotland but never impressed there. Went out on loan to a couple of lower tier clubs and had a reasonable record so he could possibly cut it in the A league but I suspect he'd be here for a holiday/partying.

A lot will depend on the what the player wants to achieve... does he wanta get back to his best or better or have a last laugh on the beach....

Staj [and Monty has copied this] said when you sign [BTW Arnold was a great believer in this as well] when you sign a senior player you want two things first for them to play their best and second to help develop the younger players....

Staj, said in an off the cuf remark one day, that by having senior players help develop the junior players it brings out the best in them....

Best example I can recall was when Arnold signed Perez and said he would help develop Musty .....

We have some real talent in the academy forwards .... just maybe helping develop the academy players is helpful in turning a players around....

These are his stats - there is a good footballer in there.

P.S. Not convinced that this is anything but a rumour at this stage.

This has the potential to be great and or terrible ....

Cummings, 26, will head Down Under to join Central Coast Mariners this weekend after agreeing his release from Dundee.

......

The former Hibs and Rangers striker broke the Dens Park club’s rules by attending a football roadshow event without permission in December.

But despite their troubles, McPake wishes his old Hibees team-mate well.

He said: “Jason was in today and is booked for a flight on Saturday.

“We wish him all the best, he helped us get promoted and I hope he does well out in Australia.

“I hope he goes there, shows the type of player he can be when things are right and scores goals.

“We all know he’s got that in him, this is a great opportunity for him and a change of environment might be what he needs.

Jason Cummings grabbed his last goal in a draw at Hearts.
Shortly after that, Cummings had a high-profile breach of discipline, arriving on stage at the Open Goal Live event in Glasgow dressed as the Joker.
And was subsequently sent home from training by manager James McPake the following day.
Despite that, Dens boss McPake has wished the striker well in ahead of his move.
“Jason was in today and is booked for a flight on Saturday,” the Dundee manager confirmed.
“We wish him all the best, he helped us get promoted and I hope he does do well out in Australia.
“I hope he goes there, shows the type of player he can be when things are right and scores goals.

“We all know he’s got that in him, this is a great opportunity for him and a change of environment might be what he needs.
“We couldn’t stand in his way, similar to when Graham Dorrans went, because it’s a great way of living down there.

“Jason has to focus on his football and get that side of it right because when he does that, his scoring record shows what he’s capable of.”

Cummings scored 14 goals in 36 appearances for Dundee.

Mainly a benchie for the poorly performing Dundee......in England he was League 1 level so might go OK here. He might not enjoy the Gosford night life though......

So Mariners have just broken an 8 year run of no wins against Roar.May be a record???

Their pattern this year is to loose late in the game, very capable team at times.

They are amongst the 8 teams aiming for positions 5/6 in the playoffs.

Gotta say I am proud of the boys this year..

18 players, 13 local, 12 developed in the academy.

Visa players mostly working out, some crowd pleasers in the side.

Can see both Millar n Farrell in a Socceroo shirt.

Unfortunately, I think Lewis Miller is rumoured to be signed by the Bulls next season and the Mariners are signing Thomas Aquilina.

Correct on both counts... Miller does not wanta go his agent did the deal some time ago... Miller is a nice kid .... quite sad he is going and we spent 3 years in his development ...

Been told Aquilina is a ball player and if so he will go very well in this side as it matures...
