As much as Redmayne did to get us to Qatar, Thomas needs to replace him for the Asian Cup. Thomas is still young enough to make it to 2026 but I can't see Redmayne who is four years older doing so.

Throw in a 3rd younger keeper like Gauci or Izzo or Delianov.

We don't look too likely to score at the moment.

We look about as likely to score as Unlimited out on the town on a Sat night

whats the excuse for the shite pitch anyway. Cant think there has been much played on it the last month or so?

According the AusStadiums, the last event that took place at WIN Stadium was an NRL match (Dragons vs Titans). I'm not sure how accurate that is but if that is correct, Venues NSW (the owners of the stadium) have had 4 months to get the pitch into good condition.

    That's applauding.

Toss of a coin this one.  Can’t play football on this pitch.   Worst I have ever seen bar one bad SCG trip we had.   If you turned up for your o35 game and saw this you would consider not playing.  Holes everywhere, loose sand, uneven bounce, rock hard.  Lucky dip.

Yeah, if that’s true then really not good enough and no excuses. Mack said it look like sheep had been on It, I would say a herd of rhinos.

100% the excuse will be "we're seeding the winter grass" for the NRL.

It's not as if any rain has not fallen in Australia in the last 3 months !

Nix are compressing their defensive & midfield lines because we've got no pace up front, there's no danger from Krpic getting in behind.

I wish I had known the team was playing in Wollongong at 5pm, me being in the Wollongong area for a Christmas lunch and all. I only realised the game was on when I turned on Paramount+ hoping that the replay from another game had already been uploaded, too.

Some might say I’m a bad fan. Me, I just say that the team hasn’t yet won me back. Anyway, at least I’m watching the second half on Paramount+! Here’s to hoping it’s a more interesting 45 minutes than my other option for the afternoon (a post-lunch nap).

I had a mid first half nap, tired after the WC watching. Didn’t miss anything.

Cleur is not terrific at defending headers,  we rely on M & M to intercept everything in the middle, but they got by passed there.
