Lol at Boro and Jacko! It wouldn't be WSF if we weren't going round in circles about some issue or other.

 

I say ONYA SBW for reigniting a debate that wont go away until something effective happens at the start of our games.

Well when I hit "go to first unread post" it sent me to 2014 for some reason. It's not true that nothing has changed since then. Someone was having a go at Prydz for having a cricket player as his avatar.

 

But yeah, nothing changed in this debate!

 

I did, however, see this quote which reminded me of the worst halftime entertainment I've ever seen:

 

Where is my option to vote for the derby rapper from blacktown to freestyle as our anthem?

 

Felt sorry for him..and the magicians. I hope performances aren't going to be a permanent feature of what goes on at half time. It must be rather  crushing to be largely ignored by 16,000 people. 

 

 

Being ignored is one thing. The clip below is from an NRL game, and what you don't get to see is that there was a pause from the crowd for about a second after this finished, and then everyone started booing. It was hilarious.

 

Try to listen to the voice over that accompanies the performance, especially from about 2 minutes onwards. Then imagine this in front of an NRL crowd. :lol:

 

 

 

I went on to an NRL forum the next day to see if anyone mentioned it, and these guys were getting slaughtered. One poster said he didn't want to boo, but felt a civic duty! hahahaha

The only thing worse than whatever the heck that was, was the decision to hire them for an NRL match

Good before the game - no probs there.

But it isn't a unity song in terms of lyrics- (it's, in part,  about going to sleep! :lol:)  and it wouldn't be singable - it's too slow. and it doesn't soar, or build to a crescendo, which is essential - to me.

i know this song is not going to be the walkout anthem(for one its mostly in japanese) but i am wondering is this song the kind of thing you are looking for?

 

 

 

i am only talking about the part between 3:01 till 3:31 but every time i hear that i imagine a stadium full of people singing it and it just works imo

Something that will offend the whine-arses will do nicely. It will be fun to watch the whine-arse faces twist with rage, and see how creative I can be at 'sanitising' the lyrics to be more kid friendly.

Fight the Victory. Gets a great reaction every time the boy gets into it! :D
