It's actually a pretty significant result in terms of going into administration. When that was announced the standard 12 point penalty would have put Wigan last. Hull are in 22nd (highest relegation place) and that win puts Wigan 12 points clear of Hull, with a far better goal difference. All they need to do now is outperform the relegation battlers for the rest of the season and they stay up, even with the points penalty.

If the rumors are true and this was all an elaborate way to cover a massive bet on Wigan being relegated I'm guessing there's a Hong Kong businessman sweating bullets right now.

I've got family friends who are Wigan fans, for their (and football's) sake, I really hope Wigan stay up. Just to **** these pricks over if they did place a bet like that.

Go Wigan, give it to them !!

They were 7 - 0 up at half to Hull, finished  8 - 0.

Boro won a game also! Beat Reading 2 - 1. I think 1 more point for the Boro (51) and they will be safe.

Kieran Dowell scores 3, hopefully they bring him back to everton next year good player

With such great health cuisine it’s no wonder Wigan are doing so well

Big morning tomorrow...I will be up at 4am. Lots to be sorted out and Middlesbrough need  a point to be sure.

Really messy though due to Sheff Weds, Derby and Wigan all facing points deductions...relegation issues could drag on in the courts well after tomorrow.

Boro will be safe no way in hell will Charlton get anything at Leeds, but as i predicted a while back Luton will do their Lazarus and jump over the Addicks , Nathan Jones has done wonders there.

Swans will just miss out, If Hull are capable of shipping 8 at Wigwam no way in hell are they going to overturn Cardiff on their own turf, would like Brentford to win the play offs.

Evening all..

Currently flicking between Brentford v Barnsley and Leeds v Charlton....Boro losing at the min but all other results going our way and so not squeaky bum time just yet...

WOW what a night...so much going on but WTF Notts Forest

Home to Stoke who have **** all to play for and start the game 3 points ahead of Swansea with a much better GD and get turned over 4 -1, while Swansea win 4 - 1 away at Reading, amazing ability to **** that up from Forest!

Leeds and West Brom auto up.

Brentford, Fulham, Cardiff and Swansea in play offs, who would bet against Swansea after today!

Going down Hull, Charlton and probably Wigan after their 12 points are removed, amazing performance from Barnsley at Brentford  to win 2 - 1, last min goal! I watched this game and they deserve to stay up on that performance, they gave it everything and Brentford couldn't deal with it, which doesn't bode well for their play off challege.

Boro had a comfortable night in the end, won 2 - 1 and never in any real danger at all. Warnock did a good job to steady the ship for us.

The special award deff goes to Forest today though lol :rofl:bahahahahahaha ..enjoy Swansea

Well well well i did not see that coming knew it was a chance albeit a very long chance, Swans did their bit but Forest! were there some Indian bookmakers shenanigans going on the background? don't know don't care.

Don't rate our chances with Brentford they've bossed us in both games but after this morning who knows!, can dream of disposing of Cardiff at Wembley now but losing to them ....oh sweet Jesus no.....

Is Warnock staying on Smoggy?

Middlesbrough need stability and experience right now and next season. Fans and Chairman want him to stay. If he does stay a tilt at the play offs an outside chance.

I watched Brentford today. Barnsley deserved winners. Brentford looked flat and choked.

You have a decent chance is you can take any lead in to second leg.

We already have a team that we can hate like the Kopites in the A League Kopites of Eastern Sydney.

tbf a few clubs can fit into the "hated" category

Sydney FC - referee bias plus Brosque

Melbourne Victory - big club plus Muscat

WSW - "you all swear too much and pick fights"

I'd add the Kopite way everything is always about them to the Sydney List. e.g. Bossi, Wanderers providing training pitch is to stop Sydney.

It's total kopite making it about them
