Interesting the Milanovic announcement says he goes for a club record fee, given we got over 1M AUD for Matthew Spiranovic when he left us to go to China.

Yeah I'd say the change of guard probably means some information has been lost. 1.4m was the fee for Spira

Spira was an international player that played in the World Cup, won the ACL and Asian cup all within 7 or 8 months so his value was very high, and I remembered there was a premier league club who wanted to sign him (forgot which one it was) but they low balled on the offer

Wouldn't mind seeing Lachy Brook back in red and black. His MLS contract ends in December, the MLS season ends in mid October. I think he'd be effective in our current formation.

Move Borello out there so he can run around with no end product (like most our wingers) and get a proper striker to partner Sapsford.

I do like Brook but he was also wasteful for us. Not that he turned the ball over a lot, bcause he didnt, but he wasnt capable of bringing the strikers into the game very much. He was taking shots from some pretty wild places. Theres plenty of talent there and maybe Staj can get him playing off the 9's properly

I offered up this idea about 4 weeks ago and apparently it was a very funny concept. 22 goal contributions in 26 games for a winger that doesnt require a visa spot. Under the current outlook with the salary cap, he would be a good option
