Will you sit at home in your old age and remember the games you DIDNT go to???

5pm game means the temp wil be significantly lower than a 1-2pm peak, and after half time the temp will be essentially perfect for football.

Our boys don't get the option to 'sit this one out' and will be doing the hard yards on the pitch. The VERY LEAST we could do is show up in numbers and stay one step behind them the whole 90 minutes.

Be loud, be proud. COYW

Hahahaha, that's wishful thinking!!

I highly doubt that will be the case - the past few hot (35ºC +) days in Penrith, it hasn't really started cooling down til 6:30PM - 7PM.

Keep in mind also, that sunset won't be 'til 8:00 PM

I'll take your word for it then.

The heat shouldn't be an excuse though, the players have to play in it too, you know.

Anyway, after we win and the game finishes around 7, it will be cool enough for us to hang around and celebrate with the players!

Players should not complain about the hot weather. I go to W League matches and there have been quite a few matches in the W League over the years where temperatures were 36 to 40 degree Celcius and the matches start at 15:00 for those that do not use a 24 hour clock means 3:00p.m and they play. The ladies play high tempo full on games no slopiness.

You sit at these W League matches in the stands under cover in this massive heat struggling to sit in the stand and just wonder how do these ladies manage to play in that extreme heat and sometimes add to the extreme heat hot winds blowing.

I therefore think it is a poor excuse for the A league team to complain about hot weather when their W league counterparts play in such weather.

I disagree with you.

I've also been to many W-League matches.

I feel that neither the W-League side, A-League side, or NYL side should have to play in such conditions.

W-League played in heat like this coming Sunday's, towards the end of 2013, at the same location - Penrith (Gambling Company Stadium) Stadium.  That heat was brutal, even just sitting in the stands.

A very stop-starty match, with several drinks-breaks in each half.

It's so stupid.  Clearly player welfare isn't important.

I mean, just delay the match for an hour or so FFS.  F*ck the broadcasters.

1 year ago today, WSW beat Adelaide 2-1 at home, Juric scoring both goals, I believe they were his first and second, had a pretty bad end if season run, made a grand final (second year running) good ACL run.

Fast forward a year later and look at us now......

I'm in a spot of bother. I have two options:

-Go to a 11 year old cousins birthday in the shire.

-or go to the game at Penrith, spend 3 hours return on the train, and not having that feeling of regret later on when we win our first match of the season.

I don't envy your situation, but it sounds like you have already made your choice.

Today we are one day closer to our next win in the HAL than we were yesterday.

And if we don't win tomorrow then, yet again, we will be one more day closer to our next win in the HAL.

In the meantime our job is to support the team as well as we can, and do our part in bringing this waiting period to an end sooner rather than later.

I don't know what calendar you have looked at, but that game was in Rd 4 last year and thus most definitely more than one year ago.

You're right, I messed that up, all I know is that on February 7 2014, we had a game, it was a Friday night, might have been the roar?

Really psyched up for tomorrow now. A few beers in the arvo and then we're gonna get that elusive 1st win. After which it's more beers then home to watch Burnley at the rather civilized time of 11pm.

How can you use the words Burnley and civilized in the same sentence?
