Crunch time for WSW.

Victory will come out to win. They do not want to be in the wooden spoon position.

Time for our team to stand up and be counted.

Do we know officially how long a ban Marcelo has been given?

And .....

When is Gabriel Cleur going to come back so he can raid up and down our right flank?

Need to win here, for momentum and to confirm finals. I think 2 wins to Mathematically confirm. But may be confirmed by the end of this matchday week if we win.

Victory are gonna throw the kitchen sink at us. They are still somehow in it, losing here pretty finishes them off. Perth and Smurfs play the day after so they are gonna play like as if they are still in contention.

Rudan may need to make minor changes in the midfield after the Macarthur performance. Shore up Ninkovic, Schneiderlin and Hoff and allow the boys up front to play at a fast pace.

A couple of people from one of the fan pages on Facebook apparently spoke to him at the game and said that he only got 2 weeks. Bit odd considering that they've gone through all this trouble to send it to the ethics committee, but great if true.

Victory have the 4th best defence in the league and the 2nd worst attack in the league in our last 2 games we have scored 4 but conceded 5 our defence has let us down the last 2 games even though our attack has needed to take their chances a bit better .

The team has looked flat the last 2 games and we need to win the next 2 against Victory and the Nix and make the last game against City not as important to win unless we can jump a spot.

Referral is compulsory when the charges add up to 4 weeks of more. They probably referred it with a recommendation for 2 weeks.

Hope they didnt look too closely at his history. This is his 8th straight red (only 1 red for double yellows in 440 professional matches). I had a look at other CBs who've played 400 games, most average 2-3 red cards. The huge outlier is Ramos 19 reds for double yellows and 9 straight reds. I have no idea if they look at history like local associations do, but if they only gave him 2 weeks, I have to assume they dont.

That said my understanding was the committee wasnt meeting until Wednesday night. But thats going entirely off what the commentators said, could be garbage

Victory's attack looks like its for the last 7 or 8 seasons. Flat, slow, laboured. We started to look like that under Popa too.

If we let them score I'll be disappointed.

Watch us play them into form :woah:

They kinda are in form. After losing to Western United Victory have been jagging points here and there that is keeping them barely alive. This is it for them and we want to win to confirm a finals spot. Just realised regardless of Perth and Sydney result if we win mathematically they couldn't catch us so that would be finals confirmed.

A poor result here and we are just gonna make the numbers in finals and cannot challenge City or Adelaide or dare I say Mariners who have rediscovered their form.

He would have got the default 2 weeks for the incident involving red card because that's the default for his offence.

But they referred two more charges additionally which is why there's a hearing.

He also stated that he will be back after the Victory game, so maybe he already knows he won't be getting suspended for the additional charges.

One win confirms finals. Two wins confirms a home final.

So does anyone know if Cluer if fit again?

I thought it was by this week he would be fit but unclear. Simmons is settling well at RB.

I thought Simmons was exposed a number of times in the first half agains the Bell ringers, his time is not far away but I do think Cleur is needed back he links better to the winger at this stage than Simmons but I think Simmons is going to fill first team spot maybe next year

Cleur is a bit suss defensively too. His positional play is horrible at times. I dig him though, and at moment he's the better player but Simmons looks like he's going to be something special

Cluer gives us a lot on the right though with his bombing runs. I think something Layouni is missing lately. Still quality but the additional help Cluer gives him allows more space for Layouni.

Simmons what a question being posed to him. Do you want to be winger or an RB? Porque no los dos?

At this point, better than Alex King and Shaun Evans

And Popa said in his presser with Joey Lynch that Damien Da Silva picked up a knock in the game against Perth.

We need to keep Fakeroli quiet

Match day I think we played them once very early this season I think both teams better than that game, Victory defence is ok but scoring goals is difficult for them .

I think we are going without being where we’re a month ago difficult one for us as we tend not to perform against lower placed teams , hope tonight is different

As this has not been mentioned yet: $4 "stadium hotdogs" (not Wanderdogs, unfortunately) until kick-off tonight!
