Not that concerned or worried about the use of Dale...

As for 'These Colours...', there is such a positive and powerful message about who we are, what our club represents and the cultural pride we all take in the links between both it matters not a jot what Victory do. Their variant is about as meaningful as an advertising slogan...ours is a reflection of our heart and soul, our culture and our people.

dont care about their chants there in a mire of restrictions down there and there is no end in sight for them, there support wont be the same for a longtime. i was hoping they would lose the game, they are carrying like there going to play in europe.

Interesting last few pages.
Just putting it out there that we have been doing these chants for years..
Obviously this season hasn't been our year for "active" support"

Rest assured we will never attempt to replicate your "Bing Bing Bing" chant.

It is truly representative of Melbourne Victory

i have no problem with them copying our chants and taking the piss, we have done that with their chants as long as it isnt too mindless then they can copy as much as they like

I think it is quite mindless when clearly over 8 years they have built up enough chants to do others apart from ours. It isn't taking the piss, it is almost a "throw in the towel" moment that there chants aren't good enough so let's use the RBB's because they are much better than ours.

we cant really take the high ground since we have copied their chants previously

though to be fair we have done about 2 victory chants, they did about 15 wanderers chants that one match, not sure why they were so obsessed with us for that specific match just kinda odd

They may have done a couple of them on occasion in the past but I haven't heard them do any this season, so to suddenly attempt half our chant list on one game it's clearly influenced by us. They're basically saying "we're thinking about the RBB while playing a Thai team in the ACL". That's the sort of thing a number 2 does.

I don't recall them doing any of them last year either although I might be wrong.

And perhaps more importantly I don't remember ANY annoyance from them about the chants we do - and they've heard us in full voice home and away. Where were all the cries of "RBB are just copying our chants"? I would have expected that. Instead... like you say they just whip out all the ones we do in a row.

It kind of reminds me of when I was a kid and there was a yoyo craze. I had one already, a really old one that had belonged to an older cousin or something, at home, and I used to be able to make it go down and up and that was it. I hardly played with it at all. Then one day at school a couple of kids had brought them in. And there was one kid who could do all these awesome tricks with it, walking the dog, rocking the cradle, the whole bit. So back home, I rummage through the box and get out the yoyo. And I give it a bit more effort and work out how to make it stay down so I can walk the dog, and I'm thinking, this is going to be so cool (*radical) when I go to school tomorrow, everyone is going to be so impressed that I can walk the dog. And I walk in the gates and every kid has got a yoyo and they are all walking the dog and some are rocking the cradle too. But I'd had a yoyo first, man. It'd had that sucker since I was rocking in a cradle myself. But it didn't matter.

I can assure you that we only copied one "RBB" chant last night, that being changing RBB ole ole ole into HABIBI ole ole ole plus stuff about swift and shift. the problem is, you guys are so up yourselves you fail to realise that you guys actually took many chants from us, and use them week in week out. To list a few of your chants that you guys do, that we've been doing before you existed are : Dale Cavese, We Unite as One, The City we Own, to name a few. Not to mention SYDNEY FC did who do we sing for before you guys. Plus half the league copied Tifosi Melbourne off us. Honestly, I have lots of respect for the RBB+rest if wsw crowd, but you sound like a bunch of idiots claiming we were copying all your songs, when infact we have been doing all of them since before you existed, except for HABIBI.

Playing the "we did it first" card?

You know that's SFC thing right? So that's another thing you guys have copied.....

It's not so much, oh we did it first and you copied all our chants. It's more, we started using chants that weren't sung in the league and hence I assume that is what dictated chant choice. Then after two seasons of you not using those chants (well the two years we have been in the league), you all of a sudden just decide to start singing these old chants you sung a decade ago.

I assume, you guys have chants running into the 50's or 60's, why did you have to use those and not the others that you have? That is what I find mindless and makes NT look second best in active support in this country.

mate no chants were used last night that we didn't sing last night(besides habibi). Unless you watched every Melbourne victory game last year, I doubt your one to tell a person in the terrace(me ) what songs em haven't sung for years.

You guys try bag me for pulling the "we did it first" trick. Go on and read the last few pages of this forum, it's full of you guys crying about how the north terrace "copied" all your chants, bunch of hypocrites

Now now people. Be nice. And stop attacking pubs.

didn't the rbb try attack a victory scarfers pub when we were in west Sydney , but where stopped by the police before anything could happen?
Posted

Bottom line is, last night the only thing that was even brought up about the rbb was 1 chant, every other chant was started because they are victory chants and it's good to do them with a drum for once

That's what ou Mexicans claim, but yet there is no evidence of it at all! The media would have been all over it if it did happen,

Funny that SFC fans stab your mob but you attack us aye?

Exactly, Dale Cavese and our version of the 'We Unite As One' chant are sung most games by the NT. Our version of your "The City We own" chant called "We travel Land and Sea" is usually only ever sung on away games and is one of our oldest chants still sung today

Just find it weird that noone has ever come on here before complaining that most of our chants are victory ripoffs, not even after any of our away trips down there when they were absolutely ripped out, until the day after they all get a run for the first time anyone on here can remember, plus the win or lose (habibi) one. Weird.

initially we had no problems with you guys using same chants as us because we aren't a bunch of sooks like you, but as soon as you guys come out claiming that we copied chants off you that we've been doing before you existed, of course we are gonna have something to say about it. Even melbourne heart copied Tifosi, but we don't really care, that's because they don't claim they did it first, plus all you westies probably don't know them because we've barely been active this year, and 1 year ago is a pretty long time for you guys to remember huh?
