Unless the weather causes a physical barrier to attending a game or it is of natural disaster type proportions, I don’t consider it to be a legitimate excuse for not attending. People like to use weather to excuse a lack of commitment or plain laziness. Plus, isn’t it always windy, cold and rainy in Wellington? So what’s new? Link to comment
Carns
TV ratings are terrible too. Doesn't bode well for the league. Link to comment
Themumf
Looks bleak doesn’t it. Might get a bit of an artificial boost from expansion, but as long as Nix are in, and so many games towards the end of the season are meaningless, it’s hard to see how things will improve. jockman and EmMac 2 Link to comment

Regarding TV ratings & Streaming, don't forget that this is the 1st season that Telstra customers have had access to the A-League live for free. There are more than 1 million people with access to the service, though Telstra doesn't breakdown by Sport. I have no idea how many, but I wouldn't be surprised if many thousands of A-League fans hadn't ditched paying for Foxtel to watch the A-League for free on their phones. matty, EmMac and Edinburgh 3 Link to comment

I don’t have Foxtel anymore and I’m actually not a Telstra mobile phone user anymore But because I activated my Telstra pass during our ill-fated FFA cup run, I actually get Telstra provided A-League access until next year on my phone BrightSpark 1 Link to comment

Flytox
I did a quick add up of our attendances last season and this season for our first 8 home games and we are down a total of 38k on last season. Also for our first 8 away games attendance is down 14k. Total attendance for the league is down 42k after 16 rounds so we are basically the cause of the bad figures. Will moving to our permanent home next season make much difference unless we do a major rebuild of our squad? wendybr, matty, alexd and 2 others 5 Link to comment
