classic dive from La Rocca

3 extra minutes and a red card to the opponents

another red card and a dive by Saba

not a dive by Saba, studs to the face

Gotta disagree there, that second red was very harsh...Guangzhou player tried to pull his leg outta the way and only just knocked Saba. In saying that, I wouldn't change anything. Bloody hilarious seeing Lippi lose it like that.

First half was very ordinary but we were brilliant for most of the second half. If Juric plays like that all season then he's got the Golden Boot wrapped up, he was brilliant. All over their defence with his strength and positioning.

I'll take the 1-0 win, gonna be a tough away leg and anything can happen but a great first leg result to get a cleano and pick up the win.

Bring on next week.

Pretty sure it was just a knee. But hey who cares...red card, Lippi exploding, Guangzhou players furious, and we take the points. Love it.

**** "the country". We're Western Sydney. This isn't a win for the smurfs, the meow, or anyone else. It's ours.

We know who we are!

We know who we are!

Champions of Asia!

We know who we are!

one game into serious football season 3 and I've already had one of the greatest nights in ages. my God I love this team. There was a post from TheSmileyBandit earlier in the week that I'd already put up as my screen saver at work ...... against all odds stuff, best post I've ever seen on this forum by a country mile. It's now my Summer 14/15 mission statement. Life can be hard much of the time. For what its worth I'm clinging on to that inspirational post and match for as long as I bloody can. COYW !

Some visuals you don't need.

Just got home great night. I thought 1 nil was short 1 goal for the return leg but I think 2 reds makes up for the lost goal. I need to watch the replay to see who the reds were and who will be missing next game. Everything from where I was in the last few minutes was a blur.  :woah:  :woah:  :woah:

One of the reds was the gun Chinese attacker... #29

One of their defenders lashed out and kicked Juric in the first half. Tripped him up a bit, he looked to the linesman who appeared to wave it away like he didn't see anything.

Don't know who it was, but if there's a post match review for these kinds of incidents in the ACL they may be missing another player.

Tomi was gun tonight. Great turns and shots.

Covic pulled out a few fantastic saves.

Kubi ... well, he's still same old Kubi ... he makes good runs, beats players, we all get excited ... then he shoots ... and the rangers are still looking for the ball in Parramatta Park ...

But didn't The Beard stir up some passion and created some controversy?! I like it!

Happy that we won, a 2nd goal would've been nice to make the return leg a bit more comfortable, but the main thing is that we kept a clean sheet. So if we can sneak one in next week, the Guangzhou must score three to get through.

RBB were excellent, as always!

Loved the whole night!
