lloydy136 Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Aaahhh I just made the same point as kalac! I'm going to shutup now. JackDoff, Prydzopolis, WhoDoWeSingFor and 1 other 4
JackDoff Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 This would have to be the worst Brazilian side ever! They look like an average team , not intimidating at all, or that skilful in that typical Jogo Bonito style. Tranquilo 1
JackDoff Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 They hadn't lost at home since '75? Now they've lost 2 on the trot , one of which was a complete humiliation, conceded 10, scored 1 n rely on 1 player to get them through! RIP JOGO BONITO! Prydzopolis 1
Johnno Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 nice touch by the Dutch bringing on the 3rd string keeper in the last couple of minutes. give him some world cup game time JackDoff, Prydzopolis and POUMista 3
JackDoff Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 As if losing 7-1 wasn't bad enough, all they need now is for Argentina to lift the WC trophy on Brazilian soil! Argentina! Argentina! Prydzopolis 1
Zelinsky Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 The Brazilian team probably wishes that they'd lost the PK against Chile. They could then tell themselves and the rest of the world that they didn't win the WC because of bad luck. JackDoff, Prydzopolis and nmh94 3
westofcentre Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Wow what sort of sh it house refereeing was that! As for Brazil - this tournament I think has really shown a change in the worlds attitude towards Brazil. They were traditionally everyones "second favourite team". Jogo Bonito - great football, great players we all wished them well. This world cup has eroded alot of that. Dodgy ref calls in their favour early in the tournament plus often unattractive football. Prydzopolis, JackDoff and Stokz 3
jocosmic Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 As if losing 7-1 wasn't bad enough, all they need now is for Argentina to lift the WC trophy on Brazilian soil! Argentina! Argentina! I'm sure the Brazilians will be spared that final bit of humiliation. Predicting 1-0 victory to Germany. Or a 2-1 victory.
KGee Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 an interesting observation from Friday. I was out at the kids football clinic and they finish the 3 days with a bunch of games, they got the kids to choose country names, not a single one of the teams wanted to be Brazil, all of them wanted to be Germany. My son's team was Mexico. He said they beat Holland in the final... Beautiful weather for the 3 days.
Neverbloom Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 (edited) thank you i might just miss tafe rouse hill i think the mean fidler is out near that area, they should be showing the world cup final. 5 am kickoff. Heard the sbs app you can download on a tablet or phone and live stream it also Not quite sure where rouse hill Tafe is but the fiddler is just a 5/10min walk from rouse hill shops, so may be the way to go!! lloydy136 Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 My favourite line of the whole world cup was after the brazil germany game.... Tim vickery: I would give fernandinho a 1 out of 10 and the one is only because he managed to put his shirt on the right way round. Nnnnnathan12, Prydzopolis, Neverbloom and 2 others 5
Guest mickisnot Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand I lol'd Well done Holland. Well done.
Prydzopolis Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand I lol'dGiven how much you have despised Brazil I'm not surprised! Look Brazil have just appeared to be a different team these last two games: - First goal should have been a red card. - Those that argue it occurred outside the box are not wrong, I'd say that it may be considered that the foul occurred outside the box but then continued inside the box so it may be considered a penalty. - Second goal, no surprise that it was David Luiz who headed right back into the penalty spot instead of out the sides or behind the goal! Amateur amateur mistake!! The guys confidence will be shot and will take months to build back up! - Third goal, mainly due to injury brings on another striker and goes in for the kill! No giving the Brazilians any respect or worrying about their reputation! - Netherlands were running at a canter, Brazilians had no idea what to do with Neymar, again and it is a shame to see the Brazillians falling apart at the seams! wendybr 1
Kizza Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Too many players lacking creative spark and a shambles in defence
Prydzopolis Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Too many players lacking creative spark and a shambles in defence Big call... I'd say it's probably the least talented Brazil side of many a decade! JackDoff and Tranquilo 2
Kizza Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Too many players lacking creative spark and a shambles in defence Big call... I'd say it's probably the least talented Brazil side of many a decade! Oscar was the only player who even looked like creating something jocosmic 1
Zelinsky Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 (edited) Brazil were a collection of primarily overrated and overpaid players and were found out by Germany and the Dutch. Fred, Hulk, Paulinho, Fernandinho, Maxwell, Willian, Ramires. Goodness me. Marcelo refusing to defend which was interesting. As for David Luiz: his reputation seems in tatters. He ll be able to regroup in the relative obscurity of France, away from the big limelight. He might even be able to convince himself at Paris that he is a world class player. jocosmic Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 My final predictions: 1-0: Germany, Schurrle scores only goal. OR 2-1: Germany, Schurrle and Kroos score one each and Messi scores 1 for the Argentinians. Any other predictions?
Nnnnnathan12 Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Depends if Germany score early, if they score within the first 30 mins then I reckon that they could run away with it. Not to the extent of the semi final against Brazil but it will hard for Argentina to come back. However If Argentina score early then I'm not convinced that they can just sit back and hold the lead, Germany have too much class across the pitch. For Argentina to win they have to score first and then keep on the attack and try to outscore Germany rather than defend a lead Prydzopolis 1
