WSWJACK
Dear oh dear, the August football whilst it was going to be hard anyways is going to be tougher again now, if it's bad for league then ...... bit disappointing really all that money spent on the pitch and they feel the need to rip it up after how many games? is it really that bad? mack
Parts of the pitch were already re-laid. Back when they played the Australia vs China game in the Women's olympic qualifiers there was new turf in various places. Particularly the middle of the pitch. Prydzopolis 1 Link to comment
WSWJACK
I may be a bit slow on the uptake here, if they are tearing it up and re laying yesterday & today, the Eels playing Friday that's just TWO days for the grass to settle. Does that eliminate the risk of injury substantially rather than playing on last week's surface?, i am not an expert just mow my little patch out the back i'll pull my head in and leave it to the experts. Paul01
NRL are going to be pissed at the Bankwest Scheduling. Prydzopolis
Jesus! That is some workout between the league & football, it’s going to be a mess. Surely we can shift games elsewhere? Anywhere with a decent pitch Link to comment

mack
My guess is Foxtel told them to make it Bankwest, I'm fairly sure all the NEP equipment has stayed there to save money. Paul01, alexd and Prydzopolis 3 Link to comment

It's owned by the Council but leased to the Panthers. 7 hours ago, pseudonym said: thanks - thought that might be the case I heard about issues with the surface at Campbelltown and wondered why no-one had considered Penrith It wasn't used as part of the NRL hub.
