Thanks to all 4 teams meeting with fans today.

Special mentions to Shannon, Lyall and Kyah having a lot of conversations with fans. Very down to earth people.

I was hoping for ESFC toilet paper.

Problem with ESFC dunny paper...can't hold up to even the lightest of pressure and no matter how much is used and how expensive still leaves a stinking stain...

Must say little disappointed with the way the team were corralled almost to the exclusion of the east stand during the final hour or so. Westfield Parra was a far better run event in terms of fans connecting with the players.

Great to see the W-League, NYL and Power Chair teams out & about, and the kids were having a great time.

Good day today, saw Chris Bath - that was interesting.

Also great to see the Youth League and W-League teams, but I think a bit of an opportunity lost in not introducing them fully to the audience, I felt.

Great to see Simon Hill there, and I really connected with what he said about supporting the A-League. He said something like: "We all love the English Premier League, and we have our favourite teams in Serie A, La Liga, and the like. But the A-League is our league, and there's something special in supporting your own local league."

Was very disappointed in this aspects. First Hersi & Juric were taken away, which killed any chance I had of getting my shirt signed by the whole team, and then they took ages before Haliti alone managed to wander over to our side.

Then stupid officeworks ruined my signing attempts with their fail white paint pen, which I was forced to buy after finding out that the dumbasses had no stock of metallic permanent markers suitable for use on a black & red strip.

It was just bad planning to not have something like the Westfield Parra set up, with the players given the ability to see as many fans in a reasonable amount of time and vice versa, with perhaps a marquee and some sensibly managed queues leading up to them.

And Office Works are the ESFC of stationery suppliers...overpriced, think they own the marketplace and generally fail to offer what people really want  :P

Was surprised how many young children YES YOUNG under 8yrs where in the bloc will this be an issue?

I take 100% responsibility for my young bloke but he is old enough to understand what is going on when adults decide to consume alcohol lets hope the other parents (some new) understand how active support works. Some of these children were still in nappies!

Everyone should be welcomed in the bloc but still should be aware that there may be the odd beer shower and etc.

Got in a bit late today (around 11.45am) so didn't see a lot of people in the RBB bays full stop, let alone kids. But yes, there has to be some questions over exposing littlies to active supporters stands, and I hope that the club nor the RBB doesn't take the blame if someone has a wee lad or lass in there and something untoward happens.

Unfortunately there is always an element that doesn't take care or follows due diligence, and they will cause angst for those that do.

I think maybe there were people who moved over to that corner to watch the training.

the RBB was sectioned off. you could only get into the North Terrace by showing your RBB membership and going through gate C.

A good day - but very disappointing that more time wasn't allowed for the players to go around & mingle with fans.

Towards the end, the players were still more than happy going around the fences for photos & autographs - but the security & stadium staff were rushing them away. :(

For me, the best thing in the supporter's pack is the lanyard. As a teacher, for five days a week I wear my school keys on a lanyard...now it will be a Wanderers' lanyard ... Woohoo!!! :clapping:

So Wendy, what subject do you teach...may I suggest the following:

Maths: If Dino scored two goals over 25 games in 2012/13 with 35 shots what was his average goal conversion percentage per game?

History: What were the contributing factors to the establishment of Western Sydney Wanderers FC and how did the NSL clubs in the area influence their establishment?

Economics: What are the financial constraints upon a community ownership model for the Wanderers?

Geography: Describe the demographic and topographical idiosyncrasies of the Wanderers' catchment area?

English: Write a haiku about Shinji Ono,

Art: Paint a portrait of your favourite Wanderer

Home Ec: Develop a nutritious 5 day diet for a Wanderers' player during the off-season

Agriculture: What would be the best grass to be used as a surface for Wanderland?

Biology: Describe the biochemical reactions experienced by every fan when the RBB chant 'Who Do We Sing For'

Physics: What is the formula used to define the energy, mass and momentum in a Nikolai Topor-Stanley clearance?

Just doing my bit for school curricula  :P

There are now 3 female and 3 male teachers on our staff (that I know of) who are all HUGE Wanderers fans! When I decided to wear my jersey to school the day before the GF, it caused uproar in a number of classes I had to go into  (good uproar I might add)!!   :clapping:  :clapping:  :clapping:  :clapping:  :clapping:

  Love the suggestions Manfred...I'll pass them on to relevant colleagues!!   :good:  For most of my career, I have been an English teacher.  Currently I teach 2  Senior ESL English classes, and also I work with students with a range of learning difficulties / issues (in Learning Support)

PS  If I were still a full time English teacher, there is no way I would have been able to spend more than  a tiny fraction of the time I have spent on these forums for the past 10 months - I spent my life marking!!!!

Okay, how about some verb conjugation...

"Dino has scored many goals for the Wanderers"

"Dino will have scored many goals for the Wanderers"

"Dino scores many goals for the Wanderers"

"Dino is scoring many goals for the Wanderers"

"Dino will be scoring many goals for the Wanderers"

Question is, which is the most correct  :P  (all of them)

Why would you write a haiku in English? Wouldn't that be Japanese?

It's the poetic structure old bean...was often a part of English composition lessons back last century

Does anyone have a link to where we can view the photos taken at the premiers plate. I think wanderland travel were taking them and they were to be put onto their facebook account but i can find links anywhere

    Back on topic you guys!

To be honest i found the whole fan day pretty boring and if being honest comparing them to the SFC fan days from years ago we still have a long way to go.

We need to be interactive, have stalls and marquees with things for kids to do, talk with players whilst signing autographs.

Just more inclusive. Paint a flag etc etc
