No better way to start off the New Year, than at Wanderland with my red & black brothers & sisters (and alcohol)!

That's racist.

They prefer to be called African American and Native Americans

Was there fireworks at last years game, or was that aus day?

Australia Day, against Melbourne heart

Won 1-0, Polenz got sent off early Covic saved a penalty and Ono scored a penalty in the 2nd half

what sort of crowd are we expecting. maybe a few away with the holidays. i think if we get 14,000+ will be a good result.

2 nil wanderers. i can see the nix parking the bus and i cant see them scoring on a quick counter the way we have defended lately.

Still sold out on Ticketek.

I've checked every day for some tickets for some friends who just came to town - nothing :(

Will be streaming this one from Tokyo..

Have already made arrangements so my pass won't go unused.

Very much looking forward to waking up mid-afternoon, finding a stream and kicking back. Wellington are always a wily side to take care of, hoping to see us put them away convincingly. I expect they copped it at training the last few days - if not from Popa, definitely from Covic.

That tweet came literally 2 minutes after I had openly said to the family "I've been checking for days for 2 more tickets, nothing - I bet as soon as I say that they'll do another release".

Just landed in Sydney. Got my tickets, just bought a WSW short en route to my accommodation.

Can't wait. What's the best way to get to the stadium from surrey hills? Where's best to drink pre match?

Get a train from Central Station to Parramatta. Go from Parramatta Station to either The Roxy or Woolpack Hotel (both on George Street, Parramatta) they're 5-10mins walk from the station, meet up with fellow supporters, march to the game at 6 p.m.

And enjoy your Sydney New Years Eve too.

Brilliant thanks. Was thinking of heading over for about 3pm. Will they serve proper pints or is it this "schooner" rubbish? ;)

You should be able to get both. The standard drink will be a Schooner, but many places (maybe not The Roxy) will have pint glasses, you just have to ask for them.

And it's almost a guarantee, being New Years Day, both pubs will be full of supporters by 3 p.m.

Carlos Hernandez out (broken hand).

good news for us, though he has not looked great throughout the season but can always cause problems

They played well enough without him 2 (?) games back.

i just wanted to throw the idea out there that those of us in the non-active stands do something to show our support and solidarity with the rbb. wanderers fans generally but the rbb specifically have had to endure a lot over the last few day both from the msm and from a lot of keyboard warriors from other teams.

i'm not sure what form it should take but something along the lines of the rbb chant at the end of the  silent  protest last season - perhaps the side stands could aim to get there early and chant/clap the rbb in pre match. something to demonstrate our appreciation. the christmas lights thing against ccm shows the side stands are capable of acting collectively. thoughts/suggestions?

popa takes about rotating the squad.  Were is our young talent of barrasi, perkatis olsen. Surely its time for these guys to be getting some game time with the ACL just around the corner.  I don't want WSW being like our Socceroos - over the hill.
