I would be happy if we got a completely new starting line-up for this match. The players looked exhausted against Brisbane and we need to keep in mind the Melbourne Victory and FC Seoul games.

I will be there and shouting as loud as usual.

Going in hope rather than expectation.

I'm going out of obligation and loyalty. I'll **** tired for work driving teo hours each way. I'm not expecting a win or even entertainment. The things football clybs make us do. Only the committed will be there Wednesday night. As I stated on another thread, this will be our lowest crowd since the 6700 against Brisbane in S1.

And that day we had the mother of all storms htting Sydney... I was expecting the four horsemen to appear down Church Street...

So how do we lose this one? Own goal? Somebody cocking up at the back with a bad pass to the keeper?

TAKING ALL BETS

Heavy winds blow a Covic goal-kick back over his head and into the net in injury time!

Heavy agricultural hoofed clearance by NTS hits the back of the head of a WSW player and deflects  straight In to the top corner of the net.

I'm leaning towards a clearance by NTS being deflected off a streaker and slotting into the top right hand corner.

Ok, NTS hoofs a clearance high, hits one of those big bastard fruit bat things that hang out near the parra river behind the stadium and the bat deflects it in to the goal, Fruit bats united 1 - 0 WSW.

Winning doesn't really matter any more, so as long as we get a couple of good goals and no-one in the ACL squad gets injured I'll be happy.

Lloydy and I wanted 9th place, a derby win and not embarrassed in the ACL campaign

  • We never got the derby win. But we probably witnessed the best derby in the A-league ever.
  • 9th place looks far away from the way we are playing domestically
  • We should progress with our Asian Champions League form

Interesting times ahead ...

But what if the streaker is male??? :ninja:

i fear for the attendance of this game falling below 10k for the first time in our short history and i do not think this will be an easy game to be honest i am feeling draw and then a win against victory.

Love the optimism. This is why I only read pre-match threads

Against Brisbane in season 1 we only got like 7k. Shinji scored his first WSW goal, that injury time penalty brilliantly won by Saint Dino
