Was it against City last season where we had the mother of all storms pre game which delayed kick off? Let's see if we are going to get a repeat performance. If so: it'll be a 3:2 win for us and a lot of bickering with overenthusiastic riot police.

Yes it was, around Easter.

Just looked at the BOM radar and Penrith is about to cop the first wave of stormaggadon just about......now

For Redmayne's fault's (he has had a fair share) some haven't been his complete own doing. I'm not defending him, but he's a **** load better than his time at City and he'll want to prove a point again (no misplaced pass **** ups I hope this time).

City tonight and Victory next week. I'd go for Reddy vs Victory for some reason, but only team management know why he's not starting.

By the by, I missed out on the 3:2 Ruka mishit winner last year, so I'm looking forward to the wet weather tonight.

In a way our defence should be doing better to help Redmayne out a bit when there are set pieces and balls get lobbed or crossed into our box. I think there needs to be a better co-ordinated plan with the whole defence. Topor for me has let us down a bit in that area. He used to win every aerial ball and marshal the defence, but doesn't seem to have the same consistency any more. I hope we are able to get this right. But at same time Redmayne has to show a little more conviction in coming off his line and controlling his area.

I really rate Melbourne City, but I love how all the hype is about them right now because at home I feel we can really beat them. Every player just has to be on their game and we need to fight for every ball. Don't let them play the game how they want it to be played. We will have chances against them for sure.

Ok quick Practice run..

Mark....

Bridge!

I'm thinking another goal for our striker with the generously sized head

So long as the PA ground announcer doesn't curse it like at the derby, 3 times he said over the sound system that he fancies Bridge to grab a goal.... just shut the **** up.

****en weather though...

Is it likely to affect the turnout? I'd bloody hope not...

weather forecast sever thunder storms, hail etc, seems to be hitting some  western suburbs now (quakers hill), hopefully worst will be over by game time, got to admit pirtek pretty unfriendly to supporters in bad weather  but we should be used to it by now !!!

Drove past the wanderers training session this morning, looked like a light one, and set piece training. Lucky they are all finished now before the storm hit.

Yeah match day sessions are usually just to assess any niggling injuries and focus on anything covered that week in the technical sessions. Never strenuous.

won't need the sprinklers tonight. more left to spend maybe on an extra riot squaddie!

I'm normally a member in the south end, but rain has scared away the missus and I've scored myself an RBB ticket! yeehah! I'll be a nigel but happy to scream my heart out in the rain.. One question though, do we have access to the area outside of the north terrace or not? First time in there so not sure..
