Leeds Leeds Leeds are falling apaaaart again

Sing x10 to Love will Tear us Apart Again and you'll get an inkling of the heaven we've been on over the last day. Villa is ours. There is something about a squad that pumps 4 at Elland Road.

There is something beautiful about seeing Leeds fans in tears. Especially after we were relegated there in 1997 and they laughed and ripped in to us..and smashed our bus with bricks.

Hope Villa go up for reason given earlier in thread. They are too big for the championship.

Not sure what thread to post this anecdote because it overlaps a few-

A bloke at my work, who is one of the most parochial Englishmen ever and a mad keen Hull City supporter, came in to the office yesterday beaming and barely able to contain himself.  He asked with a large satisfied grin "How is the Premier League like a cordless drill?"  Answer - "Because neither of them have Leeds!"

Anyway I mentioned to him that Leeds are coming out here soon and will play the Australian team I support.  To which he responded, to my astonishment that he even knew we play football in Australia, "They play in red and black don't they?  I used to like watching their games.  They had great supporters and their games always had a good atmosphere."  I replied hopefully "Well hopefully it will be like that again soon".

There's several clubs potentially "too big" for the Championship (probably including Sunderland). I've often thought about why the Premier League shouldn't be perhaps PL1 and PL2. Cut down the sizes a tad (say 18 teams in PL1 and 22 in PL2) and let 40 clubs share the $$$$$ TV money instead of 20.

Sunderland!  Based on delusional fans they are in a league of their own.

Will Villa vs Derby be televised here?

Possibly Bein Sports on Foxtel. I usually just grab a live stream from somewhere, will be plenty around.

the sub Johnny Williams that came on that played a pivotal role in extra time, was also a Sunderland player last year just to rub extra salt into the wound.

Also see in the Independent the Barcodes Mike Ashley looking to sell NUFC to cousin of Man City owner, if it goes through sure the cash will splash there, just to pile a little bit more misery on the mackems.

See their manager Jack Ross popped up in the bookies list for new Swansea manager also.

Good to see Villa back.

Happy they are out of the championship.

The barcodes will always be a basket case regardless of cash, its the nature of that club.

I remember a Bury away trip in the 90's. All real ale, dodgy pies, rain and a few beers in Manchester on the way home.

Championship up and running again, and what a start!

Finished Luton 3 - 3 Boro, but that doesn't tell the story, what a game! Gosl by Lewis Wing could already be the Championship goal of the season, absolute belter bending and swerving from distance!

Not a game defenders from both sides will be happy with though. It could have finished 6 each and both need to tighten up at the back.

Very entertaining game though!

Well. Posts on the cricket thread and this gave you away. Plus your Boro leaning. The bacon & egg will be at lunch time before I start reffing.

I am walking to my local caff now for my bacon butty and coffee. It is at times like this i misss those really filthy looking 'greasy spoon' caffs they have in England that give you a massive full English and a mug of pretty shite coffee, but that washes the grease down well.

Mmmmmmmmmmm greassssssse.

Wes Hoolahan, eh! I was talking to a mate who follows the Jets about a few things this morning. He's disappointed with the Jets signing a 37 year old instead of a younger lesser known player.

See Leeds won away to Bristol city 1-3 who are no mugs, that 1-2 loss doesn't look sooo bad now, Hernandez again for Leeds.

Happy camper now as Swans won despite selling best two players from last year.
