Aussie graveyard

Silvera got absolutely torn apart by the fans there……hope he doesn’t have ptsd from it.

I've watched most of Pompey's games this season.  He got a fair bit of game time early in the season.  His effort was nowhere near at the same level as it was when he was at CCM. He can't beat a player and has poor delivery at Championship level. He's out of his depth, as is Yengi.  Yengi was good for Pompey last season in League 1 but his touch is not good enough in the Championship and he's been injured Since the last Australia match.

Silvera is now at Blackpool where he'll probably do ok.

If Pompey is the Aussie graveyard, at least they are a club giving the Aussie's a chance.  At some point, the player needs to take some responsibility as to why they don't make it.

Waddingham and now Matthews are going there.  Let's hope they fair better.

I think Waddingham will do ok, he is a proper striker. Yengi has the first touch of a trampoline, that said I did dig him at WSW, his main advantage seemed to be that defenders didn't know what he would do next, although largely that was because he didn't either

I support the Boro, home to many an Aussie player past and present, we are certainly known for giving Aussies a fair crack, as we are with Silvera and his loans at the moment, what with Boro being his home club, amd with with McGree and Glover.

Yes he might not have made it at Pompey but the treatment by the fans, was disgusting, to the point the Pompey manager had to pull him aside for a well-being check and ask if he was OK....That is a sign things went too far.

So. .please don't lecture me about giving young Aussies and kids a fair go. And please don't justify the behaviour toxic idiots in the stand.

That's below the belt

I knew you'd bite but how many appearances have Yengi, Farrell and Silvera made this season?

Smoggy,  when did I lecture you and when did I justify the behaviour of the fans?

I think Boro are going great with the Aussies and good on Boro for looking here for players.  McGree certainly has found his feet over there.

As for Mr Tyler and I, we go back 20+ years. It's all good between us. He's my favourite commentator

To answer his point though,  All three players have had several injuries. If Yengi was fit he'd be getting game time as Pompey only have one fit striker.  Farrell has played one game due to the fact he's been injured for probably 90% of the season. I think once he gets on the park and a few games under his belt, he'll do very well. That should be soon.  Silvera has played the most game time struggled to make an impact.

Good to see Notts Forest going so well too

Niggling injuries are holding McGree back. He goes from looking the best in his position in the championship to getting an injury and looking very average...

It's getting to the point it will really hold his career back.

I really wish harper would go stick his head in a blender.

On the weekend he was arguing for a wanderers goal to be scrubbed because VAR couldnt possibly have gotten the freeze frame/stop point right. He's just argued the complete opposite, that the goal should be allowed for Sydney in the AFC match because again... they couldnt have gotten the stop point right.

He just cant hide his sky blue boner

Smurfs catch a big break, wrongly (imo) awarded second yellow after a smurf takes a quick free kick around an Bangkok player (and also kicks them) but ref calls it back for 'delaying a restart'.. even though the restart wasn't delayed.

Didn't see the incident.

However, the Smurfals played Costa from the start and he came off injured. If it a recurrence of the hamstring injury then he will be out for 6 to 8 weeks.

This is Costa ever since leaving the Ukraine. Not even taking the piss, I'm pretty sure he's played less than 50% of the games available to him during his career due to injury. Outstanding player who's hamstrings are made of beef stew

They also rushed him back. there were questions about easing him into it, but they rushed it for the AFC and this game went to extra time.
