I'd have him over Brillante or Badolato. But they're already in the squad for next year & Badolato needs to start getting more consistent playing time when we've got him another 2 years already.

Antonis would fill the squad position left by Ninkovic though.

Badolato. I mean I already gave up on him last year. This season hasn't changed my mind. I think this as good as he is gonna get. Your average A-league player squaddie. Admittedly a step up from your Grozos and Fofannah's but I can't see him as a starting 11 player, more like Jason Trifiro if the current squad.

Looks like Doni Grdic has finally left the club. It was rumoured for a very long time as he was unable to settle over here.

Doni Grdic's exit from the club has nothing to do with him being un-settled. 

He was only given 45min by Rudan. I recall that he put in a good shift. Despite our defense being depleted for most of the season, Doni was never given another chance.

Hopefully, the truth comes out regarding the toxic culture at our club (if what I am hearing is true).

Duke isn't getting decent game time and is apparently not happy. We could do worse than to look at getting him back.

His team is currently top of the J-League and he's been benched in favour of a striker pair who have 6 goals each. I get players want game time but jeez I would find it hard to be "not happy" about being top of the table in the JL and still making match day squads getting some game time. While getting a boatload of cash.

I think from what we've seen of him, he wants to be playing regularly, not watching on for the majority of the time.

Duke is at Machida for the money though and he still used regularly by the bench. The grumbling may be from the agent trying to force a move. I think Duke is looking at maintaining his fitness to make one more world cup. IDK if he comes back here though.

I rate Borello (albeit with a less impressive stint last season) over Duke. I just think Borello suffered from the set-up rather than a drop in quality

The heaviest rumour I've seen so far is Staj. Now no disrespect to him but if we end up with him while there are two actual proven a-league winners without a job it will feel like such an opportunity missed

Pre season will be ambitious. I’ll whip the boys into shape so they can all successfully complete the Sydney Seven Summits challenge. With that kind of fitness level anything above 14th spot is possible.
